Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not too bad The Front desk staff was pleasant. The room was average but there were some hairs in the sheets and in the bathroom. When this happens you have to wonder if the sheets have been changed. In this case I could not be sure as they were not crisp. They appeared somewhat dingy and had some stains. The front desk did provide me with another set of sheets and I changed them myself. The new set was better but not new and crisp by any means. There was a towel in the bathroom with what appeared to be grease or oil on the end of it. Also, there was no coffee pot in the room even though there were coffee packets. The breakfast was decent but the dining area is way too small. They only had one pancake machine with what appeared to be a full house. So don't expect to have that for breakfast. I recently stayed at another Holiday Inn Express that was very nice and super clean. So I decided to try the brand again. However, this experience was not as pleasant. I feel that it was overpriced as it is not top notch. So, overall an average hotel experience. August 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff at front desk was rude I have stayed at numerous Holiday Inn Express hotels and have never had a bad experience until now. We arrived at 4:20 on Saturday, August 9th after a 5 hour drive from Detroit and were ready to get into our rooms to relax before a very hectic schedule that evening. We were greeted by a, very obviously, frustrated staff person whose name was Don. He told us that our rooms weren't ready and that he had no knowledge of when they would be. He shared his frustration that the hotel was fully booked the day before and was overbooked for the 9th, the day we arrived. He made the comment that he saw that we had booked 2 rooms and were lucky that he didn't give one away. He was NOT joking. When asked if there was any compensation he could offer, his respose was "No". I'm a member of the Rewards Club and asked if he could compensate me this way. Again, the response was "No". He answered two phone calls while interacting with us and rather than put them on hold, he answered their questions while we stood by and waited. He was abrupt and had very poor customer service. The next morning we were greeted at the front desk by a very kind and compassionate African American woman who said she normally worked the night shift and she apologized profusely for the treatment we received. Had we had her take care of us the previous evening, explaining the situation to us, it would have been much more acceptable and I wouldn't have left this review. The complete lack of customer service received by Don was unacceptable and will definitiely impact my decision of where to stay next year when I return. August 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good nights sleep but poor breakfast Pleasant staff upon arrival and departure. Comfortable bed. Sofa bed and carpet very worn and outdated. We did not require full maid service for day 2 of our stay but requested clean towels for day 2. They were left in front of our door on the floor all day and wet, soiled towels were not removed from bathroom. Very poor breakfast. No yogurt, hot water or instant hot breakfast packages, ie oatmeal, etc. The bagels August 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Business Trip Correct rating is 3 out of 5 stars. Hotel was good but missing breakfast items on weekend. Couch sunken in room and difficult on which to sit but staff indicated that they were renovating furniture throughout the hotel. August 3, 2014
