Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unexpected luxury and out of the way kindness We had a 5 star stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Were expecting two queen beds but got the Presidential Suite for the price quoted originally. What a pampering treat! Though we didn't get to use the extra amenities due to an early flight the next morning, it was still a most luxurious, restful night. The woman clerk who greeted us, showed us exactly where our car would be parked during our absence actually went outside and walked some with us to show us exactly where in a most cheerful way. I was really impressed. Later when we were in need of a personal item, the hotel did not have any but the clerk gave us one of hers til we could purchase our own at a store. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best hotel in Indy!! Loved this hotel from checkin to checkout with Debbie, who was so nice and attentive even though the hotel was packed! Our room was perfect (2Qb) and I have to say, I didn't hear anything outside the room. We visited with friends in the great room and watched the TV. We greeted other Nascar fans as they arrived and had a very pleasant evening that included meeting Doug, the manager! What an entertainer! I actually made a mistake with our reservation thinking I had reserved two nights and we left our belongings in the room to go to the race. Debbie phoned my home number to ask if we were staying another night. I phoned her back from the track and she said all was "okay" and it would be taken care of when we returned. I went online and made the additional reservation at the track and indeed, our room was just as we left it!! Debbie, thank you again for your professionalism! The owner of the property was on site and he was very nice too. We had the best time at this place!! Looking forward to visiting next year! Thank you Doug and Debbie, you are both an asset to HIE! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great service, food While our overall experience was quite nice due to the attentive staff who were friendly, courteous and helpful and the meals were very tasty and well prepared and adequate in volume we only had one thing that made us slightly uncomfortable. The bed provided in the room was quite different from the regular (queen or king) beds that we have encountered in other Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed in. We will make sure we avoid this problem in the future when we make Holiday Inn Express reservations in the future. July 31, 2014
