Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ridiculous Breakfast Policy I have never EVER seen a line of 20 people waiting for breakfast at ANY hotel. 5 minutes before 6, and there is literally a line from the breakfast area entrance past the elevator door. The HIE employee in CHARGE refused to let ANYONE in until 6. WHAT?????? What a lousy customer satisfaction mentality.... This incredibly rude and condescending attitude by morning staff will ensure I never stay again. February 28, 2014

We intended to stay 3 nights but ended up checking out early due to dissatisfaction with the property. Hot water shortage hairs on the bed and pillows from the previous guest. beds/mattresses were very poor quality. Sleep was poor because the mattress was very hard February 25, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Away from Home for the Holidays This is the second Christmas I have spent at this particular location when coming home for the holidays. The staff is always friendly and helpful and all my needs are taken care off on first request. The lobby has a comfortable and cozy feel and guests can often be found there meeting and conversing. Beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are well equipped. Great job! January 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My stay This Holiday was a good value but is not in the best neighborhood. The Hotel was clean, nice and we felt safe inside. The only complaints which were tolerable was heater was noisey, the toilet needed secured better to floor and the breakfast area needs to be made larger or reconfigured. Very crowded and did not flow well. As at many of your hotels the pancake machine did not work but use to that. January 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by the good and the bad It started with a late arrival in Indy with other plans set up. I called the hotel 3 hours prior to arrival stating I would arrive after 11:00 PM, the agent told me no problem, the reservation was there in tact. I arrived at 11:30 and was told they were full, they sent me to the Greenwood HIE, I was furious.since I was an IHG member and called previous to verify my reservation. The next morning I called and talked to Chris, he was very helpful and apologized continually for the mistake. Not only did they comp my night in Greenwood but they asked me to come back and they reduced my rate for the next two nights. When we arrived, to our surprise, Mandi was at the counter and admitted to being the one that made the mistake. Imagine anybody admitting to something like this in this day and age. She too apologized continually and offered to reduce our rate even a little more as well as a free movie for my wife and I for the night. We took the additional discount and the movie and very much enjoyed the rest of our stay, it was everything we hoped for from the beginning. December 19, 2013

I get to the city at least once per month, sometimes twice. Only once in many stays in the past has the entire staff not been totally courteous and extremely pleasant to be around. December 15, 2013
