Geat location for the Big Ten championship game. Close to the stadium but still far enough to avoid the madness downtown. Would have liked if you had a bar/lounge that served alcohol/beer. Very clean and comfortable. Thank you.

This Holiday Inn Express has an excellent staff. Every one was friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home. I could tell that management does a good job hiring staff that want to help the patrons.

We enjoyed our stay for comfort and it was nice to have refrigerator and spa tub. The hours of breakfast changed for Monday morning versus the weekend and caused our Monday breakfast to be slim on the choices because I was actually there 5 min before they stopped serving. The one complaint I had was transportation. We stayed here because we were assured that we were close to the stadium for the football game and getting to and from there via cab was easy. So we made it to the stadium fine but the return trip was horrible. We called the cab company that the hotel gave us and they didn't understand where we were and hung up on us. We did finally get a cab but it was not easy. We really think this hotel should have a shuttle that runs between the downtown and the hotel. I know that myself I would have paid to take a shuttle just to know that I was safe and had a way back to the hotel when I was done for the eve. It was late at night and all we wanted was to return to the hotel and there was no way to get there.

Express hotels are not, by nature, destination hotels. You don't go there for the amazing restaurant, or a trade show, or anything like that. You go to sleep! That being said, if your main function is a place to lay your head at night, the beds better be atleast "good".
I have to say that the beds in this hotel were some of the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced. The beds were hard, the pillows had no form to them whatsoever, and the blankets? I couldn't figure out what the story was with those. All I can say is that I fought with them all night. Night one, I got zero sleep. Night two I got a couple hours. If our stay was more than two nights I probably would have switched hotels.
Now, I can say that the room was clean, the bathroom was nice, the oversized refrigerators were handy, as was the microwave.
My only other complaint was the breakfast. I'm not one to complain about a free breakfast. But, there is a point where free isn't worth it. After coming down on morning one to something pretending to be eggs (I've had decent fake eggs before, but these WEREN'T), packaged instant oatmeal (hint, your competitors have hot and ready oatmeal with brown sugar, nuts and raisins), sugar laden cinnamon rolls, green bananas, fatty sausage, equally fatty gravy type substance, dried up biscuits... Well, lets just say that morning two I opted for boxed cereal that I picked up at the local grocer.
I won't be back.

The young woman at the desk was extremely warm and friendly, welcoming, and service-oriented. The location was excellent because our commute downtown to our meeting was a quick 15 minutes. We were able to get a good night's sleep to be alert for our meeting the next day.

My family of 4 came in on a Sunday to utilize the family fun package for 4 tickets to the Children's Museum and the Indy Zoo. The deal was pretty good. We arrived around 10 and were given our tickets. We came back later to actually check in. The staff was very nice and the hotel was clean and comfy. The pool area was nice, but it was crowded and there were a few unruly patrons that created an issue for my 3 and 6 year old who are still learning to swim. My only complaints were that the breakfast was average at best, although the staff was very polite and helpful. Also, there were a few "non-patrons" of the hotel hanging around the front desk staff. They weren't a problem, I just thought it was unprofessional.

Our stay was OK. The bed was somewhat comfortable but needs replacing, it had a bow in the middle. The room was clean but was not soundproof as most motel rooms are not. Couch and chair looked nice but hard as a rock.The tub faucet dripped all night, which was irritating.
The desk staff were friendly and courteous, but had no clue about the area or where anything was. Another customer told me about the lobby computer for area information.
Breakfast was as expected. Prepared Egg omelets were cold, biscuits were cold and hard, gravy tasteless, sausage rubbery. Cinnamon rolls were the best part.
Overall, it was not worth what they charged per room. I forsee this branch being sold to another foreign run lower class motel conglomerate in the near future with a name change.

When I made reservations for 3 rooms, I asked for them to be adjoining or close. Upon checking in, I again reiterated my original request. My party of 3 rooms ended up on 3 different floors. I'm not satisfied with this outcome!

We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South as a stopover on a recent vacation. The property was really nice, better than we required, but a welcome bonus. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. Check-in and check-out couldn't have been easier and everyone was very friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeping staff.
The next time we are passing through Indianapolis and need a room, we will almost certainly stay at this location again.

I want to say from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out I felt like I was at home. The staff was terrific. Heather, Hyot, Jess and I believe the GM name is Bill. Were all awesome and of course the lady who checked me. Were all awesome.The facility was clean and quiet. Room was spacious. I highly recommend this property. I will definitely stay here anytime I am in the Indianapolis area.

Yes, the staff was so accommodating I was very impressed. The bed & sofa bed were not as comfy as I would have liked & the hotel itself needs some oomph, lots of wear on the very noisy hard to control cool/heating unit. Although it was sufficient for our needs would prefer to stay in a newer facility. Definitely worth the price.

My only disappointment was that our room did not get cleaned on the first day and we did not receive fresh towels, although I did tell the housekeeper we were going to reuse the bigger towels and only wanted two smaller ones. the garbages were full and we did not get another supply of soap and shampoo for the next day.

Recently stayed at your motel and though I never fill out these reviews, felt you needed to know your staff were excellent. My daughter and I stayed for 10 days. It was clean, quiet and everyone was very helpful! We will be back!

The staff was not well organized at all. We showed up at 10am paid cash for our 2 rooms, we were told our rooms would be ready at 3pm. We returned at 3:10 & our rooms were NOT ready, so we sat in the parking lot for 35 mins. Then for our inconvienence we were to rent 2 movies free. Well that didnt work to well either. Took over 30 mins & a maint. man to figure out how to get the movie started. THEN I was charged for 2 movies & a game $57 & it took 4 days to return the money to my account. So needless to say we were not impressed by this location.

The bed was horribly uncomfortable! We heard a dog barking. The hallways were noisy at night. Bath tub drained very, very slowly! The staff was friendly.

When we arrived our cards would not work in the door and we had to get a maintenance man to change the batteries. That took a little time. Once in the room for a while we noticed the air conditioner sounded really loud. We turned the temp down to 65 and it never got cooler than 76. Loud AC unit and not functioning properly. The next day I filled the jaccuzi tub with water and the jets did not work. Tried several times with no luck. I spent more money on the room just to get the jaccuzi tub. What a disappointment. Staff was friendly though.

Great stay, but needs improvement!
We found the rooms to be clean but when we asked for new sheets we found they were just turned over. Beyond that little issue and the fact we had left trash in the room, that was not picked up.. ie they were in a garbage bag near the little garbage pails. Both of those could be explained as a lack of communication except we told the housekeeping staff about it and they said OK. Other than that, the stay was experience free, the shower had great running water that never went cold. The breakfast was great, and we never saw a lack of food (we usually got there before 9AM). There was room to eat, but since we ate in the room this was not a problem. The pool had a little too much chlorine smell but was clean and the kids loved it. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Overall it was good stay
