Our cruise was delayed because of fog and we had to stay in the hotel lobby most of the day with other guests that were scheduled on the same Carnival cruise. Your employee, Amanda, exceeded our expectations for service and efficiency. She was alone most of the afternoon but remained in control and accommodated everyone.....with a smile. This was an unusual situation but it is good to know that she remained calm and in control at all times. December 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wouldn't stay here again... We checked in okay but got to our room (230) and noticed a large purple stain on the wall between our door and the window. The bathroom had poor quality water which made it hard to wash soap off especially since the shower head was suffering with calcium buildup. The vent in the bathroom didn't work so you had to complete getting ready in the room. My wife wanted a cola so I searched for a vending machine in vain...the only beverages available were in the lobby in a cooler and the clerk had not had time to restock so all that was available was diet coke (in the morning she still had not had a chance to restock). We went to breakfast and following we used the common restroom. The partitions did not had the protective coating used in transit removed the trash had not been emptied and worst of all was they used room soap in the restroom, sorry I only share soap with family,,,,Never again December 13, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome hotel Our stay at Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville - Blount Island was a very pleasant one. We were just there for 1 night and everything exceeded our expectations. The front dest staff (Amanda and James) were very kind and professional and are an asset to the staff at this Holiday Inn Express. We were new to the area and they gave us a recommendation for dinner and it was a wonderful seafood restaurant. If in the area again we would definitely stay at this hotel. Again, our stay at this Holiday Inn Express was far better than we had expected. December 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BAD EXPERIENCE I stayed at this hotel the night before my cruise/honeymoon to the Bahamas. My first experience w/the staff and hotel was great because they informed me of their parking and shuttle service (which was $15 cheaper than Carnival's fee). The representative told me the cost and that they would take me to the port and pick me up, where to park, and what time to leave. No other details was given. On the day of debarkation, I called the hotel to see if I needed to call them again to let them know when I would be actually getting off the ship. The hotel staff quickly let me know that the shuttle runs every 10 minutes and to just go to Lot 3. My group was the very last group to leave the ship so I actually walked out of the port at 11:00 am. I called the hotel 3 more times to see where our shuttle was, and the shuttle arrived 45 mins later. After being on a cruise from Monday-Saturday, needless to say, I was ready to go home and couldn't do so for waiting on the shuttle to arrive. When i reached the hotel, I went straight to the front desk to complain about it. The same young lady who was so courteous to give me the information about the shuttle was the same one I spoke to. She went from being friendly to being PLAIN RUDE. She talked to me like I was dumb and when I asked for the manager's information to take it further, she got even more rude. She finally gave me the name of the manager. I called the manager and left 2-3 voice mails, but my call was NEVER RETURNED! IT SEEMS TO ME THAT MY COMPLAINT AND BAD EXPERIENCE DOESN'T MATTER TO THE MANAGER. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR STAY THERE AGAIN. December 1, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service had minor problem with room within 15 min. I was in my new room. Persons at front desk were so nice and helpful only one draw back heated pool would have been nice but did have a hot spa and that was good. I travel a lot and I can recommend this hotel. We didn't interact much with the staff but everyone was pleasant and attentive. Very convenient for a layover before cruising. Easy recommendation. November 12, 2014
