I was placed in room # 403 and I had NO internet services or connectivity for three days. In fact, my Verizon phone was affected too with some distorted signal and it worked fine down in the lobby/outside the hotel.
I had to go to the lobby to complete and conduct my business. During my visits I will continue my business stay at the Candlewood hotel in Jacksonville, NC.

The staff and service at this HI Express property are polished and solid. The lobby and public areas are also kept very nice. The room however, while comfortable and clean was worn and in need of some significant periodic maintenance updates. Nothing unworkable, but definitely showing signs of deterioration, age and the onset of that "old motel" smell that comes along with it. Overall, a decent and comfortable place for a short 1-2 night stay.

I had a great experience at this hotel. However, it doesn't have a fitness room. I wish it did. I stayed there while visiting my Marine Corps daughter. Because the weather was great, I was able to walk/jog in the morning. However, I would not have done it if the weather hadn't been good. A fitness room would be a great benefit for this hotel. I would stay there more often. I'll be going back to the hotel in Wilmington from now on.

this hotels is extremely clean and the staff are very pleasant . The rooms are updated and beds are comfortable. I have come here several times now and each time my stay is like the first wonderful time I stayed. Kudos to however does the hiring, as you have made some great choices. Your public spaces are always immaculate.

Staff well prepared to receive us and help with a map of the surrounding area. The morning breakfast was extremely well stocked and clean-up occurred numerous times so area was clean and welcoming regardless of the times it was open. Best seen-to-date of the hundreds of stays at an HI Express!!!

I sell Premier Designs Jewelry & came to Jacksonville to do some training with my downline that live here. This was a perfect location! Less than 10 minutes to the house where our training was held & right at any & all restaurants! The beds were so comfy! The front desk & housekeeping were so friendly & helpful! The room & bathroom was clean! Will stay here again when I am in this area again!

We have stayed in several HIE over the years and this one is simply not up to par with the others.
The first room we were put in had not been cleaned properly and the drain was clogged in the tub. We were moved to another room after bringing it to their attention.
Twice there was No coffee at breakfast. Told front desk as there was no attendant in the area. Breakfast attendant was mopping front desk area.

The staff were polite and the hotel was quiet. The room seemed clean but when walking around in the room in my socks and bare feet, the carpet was very dirty.

This was a great hotel. Because it is a nonsmoking facility, the rooms were pleasant and smelled great. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The breakfast was ok but it was what you expected for a continental breakfast. I am a smoker so it was a little convenient going outside to smoke but I understand that smoke makes the room stink so I was fine with it. Overall this was a great hotel.

Came to Jacksonville to visit our son who is in the Marines and stationed at Camp Legeune. Stayed at Holiday Inn Express for two nights. The location was convenient, room was extremely clean, breakfast was good, pool was small, and customer service was great. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Jacksonville, NC. I would recommend this hotel. The price was reasonable too. Well worth the money. (07/26/13 to 07/28/13).

This was the best holiday inn express i ever stayed at. The staff were friendly and competent. Several asked how things were going and seemed proud of the hotel! The room was clean and comfortable. The AC was quiet. The bed was perfect. The outdoor pool was excellent and large enough for laps. The breakfast was excellent, very fresh, and well stocked. In the lobby there were hot cookies, Iced tea, coffee, & fruit! The wifi worked well in the room and the lobby computer was faster than our tablet. The price was one of the best I got this yr.

Very clean! Friendly staff! Would highly recommend. My husband said it was the best sleep he has had in years. Comfortable mattress. Breakfast selection was more than expected and more than adequate. Great location. Would stay again!

The bathroom ceiling in room 333 was losing its top coat. Obviously long term problem, yet not fixed. Also chair in room had bad sweat smell and needs to be cleaned
Staff friendly and cleaning staff did good job. Bed very comfortable!!!

The room was in need of updates, seemed old. We used the guest laundry and the detergent vending machine was out of order. The price on the machine was 65 cents but when I purchased detergent and fabric softener from the front desk I was charged $1.50 each.

This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn Express and my overall experience was okay. The staff was very courteous and the hotel is centrally located, but the daily cleaning service was awful. On average, my room wasn't cleaned until 4:00 p.m. This was challenging because we finished our business relatively early, so I tried to find things to occupy my time in order to give the staff the time to get the room cleaned. Because they took so long on my second day, I hung my privacy sign on the door and made my own bed. On the third day, they finally made it to the room at about 4:00. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out their pattern for cleaning the rooms! The cart would be near my door, so I'd go away for about 45 minutes and return with the cart down the hall, but my room still not cleaned. I did this several times. I just ended up sitting in the chairs by the elevator waiting for them to finish. It is also an older facilitity, which is evident by how low the ceilings are and how small the bathrooms are. I really expected more and unfortunately, I probably won't stay there again.

The room I stayed in was old and needed remodeling. The bathroom needed the most work. I know for a fact that the room was not cleaned properly because under the sink in the bathroom there was a wrapper and paper from the previous guest. Also, no other hotel that I am aware of charges you for the second guest which was weird. Most rooms are double occupancy but I had to pay extra money for my wife in our room.

Our experience at Holiday Inn Express in Jacksonville, North Carolina was very pleasant. We knew that this hotel was an excellent choice as soon as we walked into the lobby. It is very clean. Hospitality from the front desk to the cleaning staff. I really can't think of anything negative to stay. Breakfast is good. The front desk person answered any questions that we had. They were quite knowledgeable of the area. They had map brochures to give while explaining the route we needed to take. The price was cheaper than quotes from the internet. The cleaning staff made sure that we had everything we needed. They also supplied us with complimentary water and snack sacks. The bathroom was small but it was clean.

IF you're on the top floor in a higher numbered room close to the hotel behind the Holiday Inn, their wifi signal is stronger than the Holiday Inn's signal.

My daughter and I visited for Memorial Day weekend and we enjoyed our stay. Staff was nice, the room was clean except one night there was some small peices of debris in the bed but, we swiped it off and the sink water came out very strong .

Better the second time around.....even had to check out early because my Marine was granted liberty and they took care of everything...and so no problems... again I would recommend this place to anyone who is staying to visit a Marine at Camp Geiger Or LeJuene.

I arrived without a reservation and my needs were satisfied immediately. The girl at the front desk (I cannot remember her name) was very welcoming and knowledgable. The batteries in my door had gone out while I was there and she came up immediately and fixed it.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. I actually had a note from the housekeeper on my first night which I thought was a nice little personal touch. Made me feel extremely welcome and taken care of.
I will be traveling here for business as will my other co-workers and we wont be staying anywhere else. Thank you for such a great experience!
