Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad wifi Generally a comfortable stay. Disappointed that the wifi connection was very bad in the room. Hardly get connected. And there was a blackout on the night that I was in the room. Breakfast timing was too short for too many people. If the hotel is on full occupancy, perhaps the breakfast time could be longer to accommodate to the demands. July 4, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Clean up your act!! The best thing about this hotel is the customer service people. They are delightful. The room was not that clean and the bathroom was just filthy. We had to use bath soap and shampoo to clean the tub and toilet. The toilet seat had urine under it. I will never even consider using this hotel again. I frequently use Holiday Inn's so It's good for them that this wasn't my first impression. June 19, 2014

Shuttle to JFK was very good. No pool or fitness center. Functional comfortable hotel for travel but nothing fancy. June 12, 2014

The breakfast is from 5am to 9am ,as i am still sufffering jetlet, took the breakfast very early , Overall is a very good choice for JFK sleepover, the only concern will be the bed was too soft... Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value Came in late and didn't want to spend the money for a room in Manhattan.The shuttle was waiting at the AirTrain so I zipped over to the hotel in no time at 1am. The next morning, I had a taxi take me to the Jamaica LIRR Station and got into the city in less than 30 minutes. The staff was great. If I do that same late arrival, I will book this hotel again. As a travel agent, I will definately let my clients know the easy and accessibility to and from the airport. Excellent and courteous staff, they are they ones who deserve tars!!! Thank you for a great stay. Excellent breakfast preparation. PLEASE NOTE: The shuttle driver was very hard on me which holiday inn location that I wanted to go to because if it was the wrong one, he let me know that he was not coming back. I did not know there were two distinct hotels in the area, luckily I knew the address. All the driver had to distinguish is that one is nemed "express". Another lady was confused, and he had to come back for her anyway...... Custemer service even for the shuttle driver is just as important when one is visiting a new city for the first time. Now the bad part: The room was dirty, the toilet had urine under the seat and the bathtub was not cleaned. We had to use shampoo and bath soap to clean the bathroom. The towels were soiled and folded for us to use. One had huge dark stain, if you can't get a stain out, throw the towel in the trash. The other had what looked like a blood stain in it. This is completely unacceptable. For the price that I paid to stay here, I would expect to at least have clean towels and a clean bathroom. I definitely will not be using this hotel again. From the shuttle driver, who helped us with our luggage in the dead of night, to the reception staff who were courteous, friendly and efficient, a most plesant experience. Accessible by public transport from the city, but not well indicated on the hotel web-site; the fastest (and certainly the safest) option to Manhattan, which can beat the Subway off-peak is possibly the hotel shuttle to JFK, then a coach to Gd-Central. For adventurers, the Subway to Jamaica, followed by the AirTrain, is certainly the cheapest option, but can take over a good hour-and-a-half from Gd-Central... and turn into a bit of an ethnological experience... Do favour the front car in the Subway, especially if carrying luggage, as it is often - was in my case - maned w. transport police officers. June 8, 2014

Nearest restaurant was a Burger King, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are other alternatives in area that should be considered. June 8, 2014

The front desk checked me in very quickly and was up front about the last room being noisy due to its location. It was greatly appreciated and with the proper expectations set I still had a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was good and all the other amenities met expectations. The hotel should consider letting the breakfast run longer than 9am. I barely made it to breakfast before it was shutdown and the eating area was packed with guests as the food was taken away. 10am is a more reasonable end to breakfast. June 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This hotel is great I use this hotel for some of my trip overseas when a stop is required. I have to agree with some of the other reviews, is just a traditional Holiday Inn Express. Traditional express breakfast in the morning etc. But what really make this hotel especial is their people, they are always going the extra mile to help and make you feel welcome and help you as much as possible. I has been in 5 star hotels and resorts were I wish they have people like this. On a previous occasion they let my wife and I stay longer in the room so we don't have to wait at the airport because our flight was delay a few hours. On the last trip the pop machine on the 4 floor cut my 10 dollar bill in half and they give me my money back and get me my drink. Also we got there very late at night and mention that we were returning our car rental and were going to take the shuttle back. They mention that should be fine and to our surprise when we came out of the car rental the shuttle was right there waiting, we told the driver how lucky we were to be just there at the right time. To what he reply no Mr. Arce I was waiting for you the manager heard you were dropping your car and ask me to come and get you. Needless to say thumbs up and thank you. What is amazing is not just one person, but the attitude of the whole team is great. June 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff, guest room and amenities I did not have a very good impression initially due to the shuttle pickup as it was fairly confusing due to the signage on the bus and the drive did nit get out of the shuttle to advise any waiting passenger. I had to call twice to have myself picked up. All those frustrations were melted away by the efficient and friendly front desk staff who quickly took care of my check-in and point me to where I can grab a bite since I was hungry after a flight. They also recognize and thank me for my platinum status with IHG Everything inside the room was superb, from the bed, pillow, desk to the shower amenities and the water pressure. The breakfast they served in the morning offered many options and is more than enough to fill you up. I am grateful to the Front Desk staff who were eager to help me to receive an important fax amid their busy reception. Without any doubt, I will stay here again. June 4, 2014

We never waited very long to be dropped off or picked up. The hotel was very easy to find considering we drove 4 hours to get there. The airport shuttle runs every hour to the airport which is less than 5 minutes away. If the shuttle is crowded, they send a back-up shuttle. Everything seemed very organized. May 31, 2014
