Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stay Room was not too bad. The hotel is a little older than some other HI Express hotels that I have stayed in, but they do a good job of keeping it in good shape. The water pressure in the shower is definitely not even close to what I am used to from HI Express. The lights flickered at times. The room was next to the elevator and the walls are thin enough that it becomes noisy. I was not greeted as an IHG Rewards member, which is the first time that has happened. The hotel is close to the aquarium and across the river from most everything else, so it is not a bad place to stay. There are a few nice restaurants close by and the breakfast is very good at the hotel. November 13, 2014

In fact, I wish all HIE's were as clean, comfortable and their staffs as service-oriented as this facility. I've stayed here many times over the past 4-5 years and it's still as clean as it was when I first came. The bed is very comfortable. The Staff is professional and honest. I've left things in my room twice and have always recovered the items -- even expensive jewelry that fell off on one occasion! I highly recommend HIE Jenks. November 3, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, tireless workers, but poorly trained. As a state employee using a p-card, all taxes, according to the state Attorney General are exempt when using this card for a hotel stay. This includes occupancy tax, which was added to my bill. I protested at the front desk upon check out and because no manager was available until after 9am, I was unable to get the staff to understand this situation and take the taxes off my bill. I said I would return after my morning meeting (nearby thank goodness). I returned at 9am and still no manager, who came in shortly thereafter. She did seem to know the policy, however, even she argued the point that occupancy tax exemption required a separate form or letter. She copied my employee ID card and took off the taxes, so thank you for that (I won't have to fight the state auditors for $4.57). I asked for a copy of any past forms she could share with me and she did not have any handy, but later emailed me the state attorney's forms which clearly showed that NO taxes could be imposed. She needs to train the staff. The card is obvious and a copy of the type of card appears on the form. This entire mess made me late for my next two meetings. If this can be solved, I will likely stay here in the future, if not I will move on. Also, the bathroom in my room had a LOT of long black hair on the floor. November 1, 2014
