Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay Great hotel, awesome staff! Made a night on the road as comfortable as being home! January 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 It was a First We requested a government rate as we were returning from a work function, and was denied that rate because we were not in Jonesboro on business. This is the first time any hotel has refused the rate for any reason. I have had hotels give me the rate even when it was strictly a pleasure trip, so I was surprised by this policy. The hotel itself is starting to look dated and worn. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom floor needed a good scrubbing in the corners and around the tub. January 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Updates starting to shine through! Staff were more than accommodating to my needs and very professional and courteous. I have stayed here in the past, but not as an IHG member. Updates to the property are really starting to show. Keep up the good work! January 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home away from home I was pleased with this property. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel is situated among so many shops and restaurants. It's nice to have a "home" on a long stretch of highway. I would definitely stay here again! January 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bed like a board and rates too high for area Rates for this hotel are too high compared with the competition that are full service hotels. Bed was way too firm, like a board. January 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place Very friendly staff, knowledgeable of the area and accommodating. January 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not too bad The front desk staff disappointed me. They weren't rude. But I've stayed at various Holiday Inn Express hotels and all the others were so friendly that it made this one feel unwelcoming. The rooms were clean and quiet, as I've learned to expect at Holiday Inn Express hotels. Everything seemed to be in working condition. The breakfast was the same quality as other Holiday Inn Express hotels and actually, the server at breakfast was super friendly. It was a good stay. I would stay there again if I could budget it. Just won't be all gushy about this one. January 5, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Week long stay Well, I had several issues during my stay in Jonesboro, none were show stoppers, just annoying. First of all they apparently don't put a lot of consideration into your IHG membership. There was no recognition of my membership, no points noted on my room key card, I requested an upgrade if available and got no response, I did check the site every day to see if upgradable rooms were open and they were, every day. They do not recognize you as a State employee here if you work for a State University. This has never happened to me before, I work for the state, get paid by state funds, I am insured through the state, my retirement is through the state, but according this location, I am not a state employee. This was hotel policy and they were not allowed to make exceptions. The local University had a special rate which they too had to use in place of the State rate, we were not affiliated. We stayed in 2 rooms during our week stay, the first room needed a little cleaning help, and there were pistachio nuts hulls under the bathroom sink in the floor, other than that it was ok. When we moved to the 2nd floor for a larger bed, my wife had failed to pick up 2 pairs of boots as we left the first room. She realized this the evening of the 2nd day when she wanted to wear them. We contacted the desk and they had no record of finding boots. The girl at the desk was very helpful and told us she would do some checking. She called later and had found them after contacting the housekeeping office. They had found them the day before and were "holding" them. It seemed logical that if they have reported the find, guest services at the desk would have told them we are on the next floor. There were several maintenance issues with the room, all were minor but needed to be address. 1. Ceiling was peeling in a couple of places. 2. Toilet seat was yellow and was all chipped up 3. Even though it was in the 30's outside we had trouble getting the room to cool down. Even with it turned down to the lowest temp.this was in the first room. On a positive note the Customer service people were very helpful in getting us in the Gym next door, a very nice perk. Breakfast was good and on time each day, you do get tired of eating the same thing and they did run out of bananas over the weekend. January 5, 2015
