Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the pillows I normally don't sleep well the first night of a stay but I slept very well in this room. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the AC is not noisy. The room was sufficiently dark even being on the first floor and in the front of the hotel. The continental breakfast was hot and delicious with plenty of choices. Check-in and out was very fast and easy. December 19, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Stay Stayed the night to attend a show at the Kalamazoo State Theater. Great stay. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. The only complaint I would have is that the kids went down and saw the size of the pool and chose not to swim as the pool is very small. Not really a complaint, just for those traveling with children who like to swim, you are aware. Overall a nice stay! December 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent staff! I forgot my microwave popcorn! Relaxing in my room, watching a movie and reading, I realized that I really would like some popcorn. Unfortunately, I depleted my overnight bag supply on the last trip and neglected to restock. There wasn't any in the vending machines. The hotel doesn't have a sundry shop. I had resigned myself to doing without or taking a drive in the rain. The third shift manager, Dwayne, asked what I needed. When I explained the situation, he was unbelievably helpful. He called one of the "sister" hotels next door. After determining that they had the goods, he walked over and got me a bag, popped it in the service area microwave, and even offered me a salt shaker. He wouldn't even accept a tip. Best popcorn I've ever had! (Not really, but certainly my best service experience...) His guy cares about his job, the customers, and the Holiday Inn Hotel chain. I hope they treat him well. December 2, 2014
