The check in reception did not give any recognition to my Platinum status. Even when I reminded her and showed her my Platinum member card, she wasn't even bother to pay any attention.

I'm so glad that I chose this hotel to stay at over the new year. They were extremely accommodating, and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are comfortable, and although they aren't the nicest rooms, it's a reasonable price for what you get. I was thrilled that they had free parking. I recommend this hotel just because of the staff- we requested an early check-in and they were able to do that for us, they were quick to give us whatever they needed and they provided a free shuttle to the conference we were attending. The windows aren't soundproof and the city is noisy at night, but regardless my friends and I slept soundly. The free breakfast was great; a con is the free wifi wasn't connecting well and was extremely slow (maybe because the hotel was packed out). Great place to stay.

Everything was simply fantastic, especially nice since we were traveling with our dogs. The only disappointment was that amenities like free bottled water apparently have been discontinued for we Platinum IHG members? We were thanked for membership and given free Wi-Fi, but that was it.

I would drive a little further in the future and get a better experience for less.
1- Elevator not working 1st evening
Hot water pressure almost dribbling out of head.
Shower handle loose almost falling off. rm 501
Breakfast room floor sticky all the way to elevators. Skipped breakfast for that reason.
Won't be returning to this one soon.

Very dissatisfied with this stay. Hair in tub even after they had supposedly cleaned on our second day. Someone elses coffee grounds in the coffee pot. Security guard playing on his phone In lobby late at night while 6 police cars were in parking lot and we were trying for 20 minutes to get a parking place, I asked what was going on and desk clerk had to tell the security guard to go out and check. Asked for extra pillow it came with no case. Bed was mushy uncomfortable. Lobby elevator dirty. Parking totally inadequate all times of the day or night. Location was mis-represented on site I reserved from.
Do NOT reccomend this hotel.

I want to thank the staff of the Holiday Inn Westport K.C. for the excellent, friendliest service I've ever had at a hotel chain. You all are the only hotel chain i ever plan on using. Thank you for the comfort and hospitality. -Eric/St. Louis, MO

The room was to much money for the room and not verry cleane . The bed was broke down and not comfortable at all. I could have stayed at a 4 stare for the same money.

Hotel seemed new and was very nicely decorated, with spacious rooms. Room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. My chief complaint was the lack of parking. The hotel shares a lot with a neighboring restaurant and 2 of the three nights I stayed there, parking was a bit of a challenge. However, the staff was courteous and offered to show me some additional parking spaces not accessible by the restaurant patrons.
