Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Always a good sojourn This is the first hotel I look for when I tarvel with a small budget. I think the qulity/price is good. The only remark I have is the choice of food for breakfast. I have food allergies (gluten) and it would be nice to have an alternative to wheat products. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful room with a fireplace. This hotel is close to our children. It has lovely rooms on the back side of hotel away from traffic. We enjoyed unwinding with the high speed internet. The refrigerator allowed us to store our medicines and food and drinks we were traveling with. We had a corner room so it was a bit larger. We wanted a suite but they are all located on the front side of hotel with traffic noise. Seems unusual to put suites where all the traffic is. January 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by very bad service They do not provide maid service if you leave your room after noon. Of course they don't tell you about it when you book the room and it is not written anywhere but if you leave your room after 12pm, they will slip a note under your door saying that "per your request" you are not getting maid service. So if you plan to sleep in or work out of your room in the morning forget about somebody cleaning you room, unless you want to spend 45 minutes taking to a very rude front desk person and then feel the necessity to hid toothbrushes since you are making the maid stay "late" just for your benefit. It is the same with the continental breakfast. If you are not there early you get nothing because they do not refill anything, even if they are supposed to be open for 1 more hour. They are very rude too and they have zero fresh fruit available. The elevators are very stinky and they staid that way the whole week we were there. There are many hotels in that area, there is no reason to stay in this one, just do yourself a favor and pick another one. January 2, 2015

It has a location that is convenient to most attractions in Katy, but far enough from the Katy Mall so we don't have to deal with all that congestion. We often walk to one of several nearby restaurants for dinner. The rooms have large drawers, which is important to me since we usually stay up to five nights at a time, and want room to unpack for two people. The beds are comfortable, with a small 'bar' for the coffee maker and minifridge. The staff are helpful, the room is always neat when we come back each evening, and my daughter loves the popcorn cart. It's now the only place we stay in Katy. December 17, 2014
