The hotel is in great shape and the staff was very accomodating when we unexpectedly needed a conference room for a meeting. The room was very nice and we apprciate how the staff responded quickly to our needs. This hotel will be added to my favorites list. March 14, 2013

However, this last time was not a good experience; must of had Magilla the Gorilla above, every footstep this person took gave the impression their foot was coming through my ceiling. The person right next to me decided to go in and out their door multiple times after 12 a.m., allowing it to slam. REALLY??? If the hotel is not sold out why must you cram everyone to one end of the hallway or so darn close to each other? Did not sleep at all. Next time I will request the highest floor. March 4, 2013

Its funny but a simple little printed sheet of paper that you can print on your computer meant alot because i could have my family rest till 2 pm while i went to do buisiness felt right at home:) March 4, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel Location for the Business Traveler Very good location for anyone wanting to be near easy-on/off of I-10. Many restaurants and pubs nearby, most of them being national chains. Property is surprising quiet being so near a major thoroughfare. Rooms are clean and comfortable. One hitch in this stay... no attendant at the front desk for ???. I left and came back. There was a sign stating, "Will return shortly, helping another guest". This I understand but there should never be a protracted amount of time in which there is no one at the front desk. Get more staff if necessary. All of this said, I would certainly stay at this hotel again as it is very convenient and I believe that the front desk issue was an anomaly. February 4, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good hotel but average service The hotel is well located, well maintained and very clean as should be expected of HI Express, Very good breakfast Also room prices on the expensive side Gym very average with only 2 threadmills - one of them not working. Pool not heated. Business center bad with one computer unable to print and the other one showing on the screen that it is using "counterfeit software" a very disturbing sight when I was using my credit card at the same time. I mentionned it to the front desk, with the man present telling me not to worry about this (I later discovered he was the manager !). He offred to print my boarding cards from the front desk, but when I came later to do it, he was gone and the lady told me to do it myself - and back to the computer that could not print ! Good intentions perhaps but bad execution ! January 27, 2013

Excellent location and a seasoned service staff. Everyday we had something different as the main choice at breakfast attended by a very friendly and attentive personnel. I am in Katy, TX area often for work and always stay at this Holiday Inn Express location for many reasons....location, very friendly service, quiet rooms which are nicely furnished, a/c units work properly, very clean hotel overall. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room Not Clean At Check-in; Even After Request for Cleaning - Ignored The previous guest left items in room which were not removed. The shower curtain was mildewed badly. There were hairs still in the tub. No plates, cups or utensils available in kitchen area. When brought to attention of front desk the next AM was promised it would be corrected - none of it was. I had to be rude and demanding that evening to get everything corrected. Also advised staff of leak you can hear in the wall. Also, the guests on one side were clearly heard through wall. It just wasn't a good experience. On the plus side, Maria, who ran the dining area is a gem: efficient and friendly. I have almost 200K in points - I love HI/HIE - but I won't return to the one in Katy, Texas... December 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel in Katy, TX I really liked being at the Holiday Inn Express in Katy. We went for my Son's birthday because our camping trip got rained out. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was clean and beautiful. When we had breakfast, the food was honestly great. I will plan another "staycation" with my family there again. The bed was so soft and pillows comfortable, I have not had that kind of sleep at a hotel before. I love it! December 11, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Phone I stay at this hotel exclusively when in Houston. The service staff are always nice and accomodating. The hotel is always clean and welcoming. The only issue I ran into (ever) -- is that I notified the staff that the phone in my room was not working. It was not a real issue, but when I had to came back due to my trip being extended - the next day- I got the same room and the phone was still not working. I could not plug into the internet, use the phone or get a wake up call. Not a deal breaker - just not sure why it was not fixed while I was there or after. October 29, 2012

This was my first stay at this location, and when I walked into the hotel, the staff was ready to help me with what ever needed. There smile and comfort made me feel safe and relaxed. The decor of the hotel was beautiful, that i asked about the mattress, where i could purchase one like it, the following morning. So friendly they even popped popcorn for all their guest. Great location for restaurants and places to have a evening cocktail. Just loved the place!! I already made my future reservation. October 25, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Four trips to front desk and then I stop Visit front desk HBO no audio. Second visit HBO to be rebooted. Third time she forgot to reboot HBO. Call front desk. Line picks up but no one answers. Call front desk. Line picks up but no one answers. Call on iPhone to get front desk. Fourth visit to front desk the HBO picture fades to night, brightens to normal and then fades back to night. I wanted to enjoy the food I brought in to my room and watch HBO. But, I had to drive to Fiesta Grocery store to buy cooler to put my meal in for driving on the next day. NEVER HAS MY STAY AT A HOLIDAY INN UPSET ME TO THE POINT I COULD NOT EAT. That is the measure of a truely horrible experience. October 8, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Manager will not return calls This is a great place to stay - very clean, comfortable, and great breakfast. The issue I had with this hotel involved the front desk. When I checked in I asked the front desk clerk to change the priority club member # from my brother's(he book the hotel for me) to my priority club member #. Of course the guy didn't do it as he promised. When I checked out I forgot to look at the bill closely to see who's name was on the bill - well guess what it was still in my brother's name. I paid for the stay so it was only right for me to get the points for the stay. We stayed at his hotel on 6/1/12 and checked out 6/3/12. I have been working on getting the points to be put in my priority club account now for almost 2 weeks. I have called the hotel front desk 3 times - asking for this to be done they claim they can not do it that it has be to be the manager. I have left a message for the manager to call me 3 times and I still have not received a call from him. I am very frustrated with management of this hotel and the front desk staff. June 15, 2012
