We found ourselves without heat after a malfunction with our furnace and there was not a part to be found after hours. Since it was too cold to stay in our house we called the HI and found accommodation for the night. It is the second time they have come to our rescue in the past number of years. Thanks to HI for being there.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cat000001 Excellent friendly and efficient service, pool disappointing.
I chose this location partly because it had an indoor pool with waterslides, which my son loves, and I knew I'd have to keep him entertained at the hotel for a couple of hours at a time, over the weekend. Waterslides were closed until later in the evening but my child (still young) was going to be getting ready for bed shortly after dinner so we didn't get a chance to use them at all! The "heated" pool was cold, there was no family changeroom (Mother and son) and only a cold push-button shower that stayed on for 3 seconds at a time. (I pushed it several times to see if the water would warm up.) No place to put our things down while having a shower, or to sit while getting changed. Had to go up to our room still dripping in our bathing suits to get showered and changed (awkward). I wanted a drink / dessert in the evening, but no room service. I couldn't leave my child to go out, and didn't want to order pizza. Would have resorted to a "mini bar" but there was only an empty fridge. (Breakfast buffet was best I've seen, pancake machine was fun!) Good place to get set up for a few days with adults or older kids--single parent travelling with young kids, no.

Thank you so much, Megan, for taking care of our team, for picking up one of our players from the airport due to the disruption that the FOG caused for our flights from Smithers to Kelowna. You made our experience excellent, and we would recommend the staff and hotel to others staying in the Kelowna area. THANK YOU!

My young daughter and I had planned to come to Kelowna to have a tour of her favorite Online game headquarters. We live in Chilliwack and though we could have made the trip in one day I decided to make a special mini vacation of it. My wife made the reservation at Holiday In Express only two days prior to our arrival. The price was reasonable, It was what I had expected to pay in Kelowna in the off season. The Hotel is located close to shopping and restaurants and right on the main route making it easy to find. It is not close to the beach but we weren't there for sight seeing this time anyway. We were greeted by a friendly person at the front desk when we arrived and quickly received our room key. We found our room on the fourth floor. It was quiet, secure and clean. After my daughter finished jumping from from one bed to the other several times (something she does at every hotel our family goes to) she was ready to check out the pool. I was able to convince her that we needed to have dinner first so we took a short walk to Boston Pizza where we were given a 15% discount off our bill because we were guests at The Holiday Inn Express. We came back to enjoy the pool, hot tub and two really fun water slides that kept us entertained for a couple of hours. There was no trouble sleeping in the comfortable beds. We awoke and came down for an impressive selection of breakfast items. The breakfast highlight was definitely the automatic pancake toaster. The coffee was decent and the bacon was crispy and tasty. The egg omelets were a bit strange as they were some kind of prepackaged warmed up product I think. But even at that they weren't bad. There were pastiries, cereals and toast as well. Thanks for the great experience! I'll be sure to bring the rest of my family back there some time.

The Holiday Inn Express was selected because of the rates they offered for a group.
However, I called the hotel the day before to make sure they were aware that we had a toddler with us and a crib would be available. After a 6 hour flight, we arrived thinking we could check in and put the baby down for a nap. What a surprise when I went to check in and found out that although it was 4:00 pm, our room wasn't ready for us and would not be ready for at least another hour.
(The reservation was made Sept 7 for Oct 12).
The next morning I put what I assumed was the please clean the room card on the door and we went out for about an hour. Passing the maid in the hall I asked if she could make sure our room was done before we got back. I was assured it would be.
When we came back the maid said she couldn't do the room because I had put the do not disturb sign on the door. I said that i had checked to amke sure it wasn't the do not disturb sign, and was informed that both sides of the card were do not disturb. As we were going out again I asked her to make sure the room was cleaned and again was told it would be.
After being gone for 3 hours we returned to find the room had not been cleaned. We discussed this and decided we would let it be as we were checking out early in the morning.
When I checked out, I mentioned to the clerk that the room had not been cleaned and I was told I must have left something on the beds, which I know we didn't as I had made sure everything was put either in the drawers, on the desk or in our suitcases. If the baby's blanket being in the playpen meant the room would not be done, we should have been told.

Holly from Edmonton at the front desk could not have been more rude and condescending. She overcharged us by $130 and got upset when we challenged her calculation. We ended up finalizing the bill with another associate the next day, who realized we were still overcharged after Holly's attempt to correct our invoice.
Our suite was clean and comfortable. We are social hockey parents and the evening security guard was firm but friendly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ABbound Clean, comfortable and great breakfast!
If only Canadian hotels weren't so expensive! This hotel had it all - squeaky clean room, excellent mattress, pillows marked "soft" or "firm", and good in-room coffee. Clean bathroom with good quality toiletry items. Hot breakfast was also exceptional, lots of variety and even Gala apples instead of sawdust delicious variety! Well done, Holiday Inn Express!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JeanneCo113 Waterslides made the visit
I do like Holiday Inn Express since they usually have a pool and the free breakfast. But the main reason for selecting this hotel over others were the waterslides. The kids loved it!
Breakfast was the usual HI fare, but seemed to be switched up over the days. It was very busy but they managed to keep it well stocked. I did have some questions about whether the muffins had eggs in them since my son is allergic and the staff didn't know and there was no packaging to verify. So my only suggestion is that the staff is more aware of the main allergies. They did seem to mention gluten-free options.
I liked the fact they gave us discount at Montana's, which we did eat at (across the street) and I've never experience that at another HI.
