You can stay at the Comfort Inn right next door cheaper and the folks behind the counter there are not rude. I am in a hotel usually 5 days a week and I will not stay here again.

Though the place was clean and staff very friendly, the beds were so uncomfortable I hardly slept at all. I could actually feel the springs in my back. My husband said the same thing and actually, my parents stayed the same night under a different reservation number and the next morning they also said their beds were very uncomfortable. Also we were told we had two queen beds but those have to be the smallest queen beds I ever slept on! We have queens at home and I think they are larger. These felt like full-sized beds.
The breakfast was very good though the pancake maker was broken as said another review from October --was it still broken or broken again? Eiter way that seems to be on ongoing problem.
The night of our check-in, our daughter had to be out of her apartment by noon but we were not able to arrive in Kent until later that evening, around 8pm. About 6pm we called and asked if our daughter could check into our room since she was literally driving around with her belonging in her car waiting on us. We were told she could only if she had the credit card to swipe that would be paying for the room. Well, that was not possible since we were paying for the room with our card. Even giving them our CC over the phone (which they also had for the reservation) and with photo ID of our daughter, they would not allow her to check in. I understand policies, etc but we were just disappointed that under the circumstance, she couldn't check in just a few hours before us. Its not like they didn't have our credit card number already!
We've stayed in Kent many times but this was our first stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Across the street is a Hampton Inn, where we've previously stayed and on our future trips to Kent, that is where we will be staying again.
Very disappointing, Holiday Inn!

Wife didn't like the whirlpool as much (tough time to enter and exit), I didn't mind it. WIFI was OK, plenty of room, breakfast was excellent, highly recommend the stay.

Clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Front desk just needs to remember priority club perks upon registration. Will def. stay here again. Absolutely no negatives to mention.

I like the place stayed here several times. This time though they messed up my reservations and i didn't get the room i was supposed to, was kind of upset. The manager on staff was only trying to tell me why it happened instead of solving the problem.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by splashg Staff was great, room was not
Booked 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 children. Used up 20,000 (!) rewards points PER NIGHT. We were given a room with 2 beds and a TV. Nothing else. No fold-out couch, no mini-fridge for the kid's milk. I tried to get a larger room, but was told that was all they had. We crammed all 4 of us onto the 2 beds, and used the ice machine to fill a cooler to keep the milk cold.
Staff was nice, rooms were clean, breakfast was good (even though the pancake maker was broken). It was just simply a poor room choice for 4 people.
At this rate, the Priority Club is worthless. At 40,000 points for the 2 nights, it will take 40 stays to make it back up and the experience wasn't worth it. Just a couple years ago, this would have been 5,000 or 7,500 points per night.

I've stayed at this Holiday Inn many times when I visit family and friends and the staff and service have always been excellent. On this trip, my son traveled with me and we needed some special accommodations. The staff responded quickly and favorably to my requests and made us feel welcome and comfortable. It made our trip so much easier, especially since we were in town to see a specialist regarding my son's medical condition. The men and women that work at the front desk are some of the best customer service personnel I've encountered. Thanks very much.

Great room with extremely good staff. The desk person went out of his way to assist us. We will stop there again.
