Recently took a driving vacation from San Diego to Colorado Springs. the Holiday Inn was booked so we stayed at another well named hotel, approx. $150.00 less overall than Holiday Inn. The room was clean, but older. The breakfast I the a.m. was not nearly the same. Although the staff was nice, when water entered our room, under the carpet, they just threw towels down, and put a box fan in the room to circulate. Later I found out they had other open rooms to offer us, but did not. H. I. is worth every penny..

The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. We booked with this hotel mainly so we wouldn't have to eat out for breakfast, and it was worth it. They had a variety of choices including a hot breakfast selection. I was super happy with the buttermilk biscuits.

Everything was great except that the swimming pool was being remodeled. Honestly as much as I like staying at Holiday Inn Express hotels, If I knew the swimming pool was closed I would have stayed at a different hotel specially since I was there for two days.

Was disappointed that the indoor pool and Jacuzzi were out of service, as this was one of the specific things I was looking forward to when I checked in. It would have been nice to have been informed of that prior to booking the room, as there was another brand that I also stay at and this would have swayed my decision. I think the price I paid at this stay was not a good value for my money this time.

One of the nicest places in Kingman. Traveled thru before but this was our first stay and liked it very much.
We stayed in a handicapped room and it was fine but I wish more hotels would put 2 queens in those rooms instead of 1 king. Some caregivers travel with and so have to sleep on the couch. Overall a great place.

I have two issues - the pool was broken - it was over 100 when we were there. If the pool is broken the hotel should send a message (text or make a call) to guest prior to their visit about broken equipment so they can the hotel if the guest really wants a pool. I am just saying it would have been nice to know before we got there.
The second issue is - the front desk person has NO knowledge about the Grand Canyon - Daaah why do you think guest come to this area to go to a Niagara falls.. Ok enough with the smart remarks. When asking for direction or information I was told "I don't know there is some information over there go look." That is not what I call customer service.
