This hotels staff in my experience simply does not care about the customer. They were full (so they told me however the parking lot was more than ½ empty overnight) and when I tried to discuss the problem with having been given the wrong room type based on my booking.....COMPLETE DISREGARD and utterly NO CONCERN. I requested and booked a second room when having more family travel with us to close on our new home in the area SPECIFICALLY asking for and deciding on the type of room so we could be close together. When I called during travel that day about 3-4 PM I was told all the rooms had been assigned....REALLY??? I'm sure not everyone has checked in already.....re-assignment!!! DUH! When I arrived I found out that I didn't even get the rooms I had booked. I was given 1 double queen suite and 1 king suite - ON SEPARATE FLOORS!!! The front desk staff could only say "there's nothing I can do - we're completely booked" (see comment above about parking lot), and "that is what your reservation says" even after I showed him 2 separate e-mails CONFIRMING 2 separate 2-queen bed suites. I asked the check in and check out front staff as well as called the hotel on another day to speak with the hotel manager and nearly 2 weeks later I STILL have not heard from her. If you don't care about service or problem resolution spend your money here. It's clean, quiet, and you'll enjoy a decent breakfast. If you expect to get what you ask for try the Holiday Inn Express in Gastonia. They actually have the pool open during the posted hours (and possibly beyond) and respond to concerns with care and compassion. IF you decide to stay at this Holiday Inn Express.....don't say you weren't warned. June 26, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good service, nice pool area I asked for a roll away in our room and fully expected to pay about $10 extra per night. Much to my surprise, they did not charge and it was ready when we arrived. It was an actual bed and not a flimsy, sleep on springs cot. Our extra guest was comfortable. June 8, 2016
