Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful customer service I was unexpectedly needed in Kingsport for company business. One of our team members got the flu and I had to take his place. After working all morning and afternoon at my original location I had to drive an hour and a half to the Kingsport location. Due to having to get a task completed, I did not actually get to check in until after 5 am. Needless to say I was exhausted and starving. Summer at the front desk was a jewel!! She got me checked in quickly so I could get to my room. After I took my things to my room, I went down and asked Summer if it would be ok to have a banana. She was so helpful and sweet. She explained that it was time for her to start preparing the breakfast area for breakfast that morning. I was able to have a bagel and oatmeal. After that I was able to relax and sleep so well. Thank you Summer for you helpfulness and kindness!!! February 18, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overcharged This hotel is convenient for us when we visit family. The issue I have is the staff seem to not know how to check-in the customers. Then when you ask for a correction on charges they don't know how to fix it. I stay at IHG hotels all over the country and I have not issues with charges like I did at this hotel. The staff needs to be retrained. February 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel! Stop here after 8 hours of traveling. Very nice hotel. The kids enjoyed the cookies at check in, the swimming pool and the suite we shared. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable. I will stay again when in the area. February 17, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Christmas Stay I was visiting Kingsport for the holidays, and decided to give the Holiday Inn Express a try. It was a good choice. The room was really quiet, and the hotel is still pretty new and that was nice as well. They did a great job with the breakfast buffet, and really outdid themselves decorating for Christmas. I'm glad I stayed with them, and I'm sure I will be back! December 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by tech issues 1st stay at this location. Bdrm TV had to be 're-booted' every time it was turned on: unplug the box behind TV and wait about 5 min. for it to re-boot. No Wireless. Was only able to connect on one morning for about 15 min. Otherwise wireless signal was so weak my phone or laptop could not connect. Front desk had no solution other than suggesting I come to the lobby to connect. Seems their wireless router is so old the signal isn't strong enough to reach top floor guests. They also offered to move me to a smaller room on a lower floor but I had a King Suite and would have had to move to a standard room just to get wireless. Will NOT stay at this location again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Stay at a Quiet and Clean location My husband had a business meeting at this hotel and so my children and I decided to join him for a shopping excursion. The room selection was very nice. We only made reservations a couple of days out from the trip. We secured a double queen suite with a pull out sofa. This gave plenty of room for both of my daughters to have their own sleeping space. The beds were comfortable and as a rewards member we received complementary access to the internet. The rooms were quiet and we had darkening curtains that allowed the girls to sleep in. We ate breakfast in the lobby that was tasty and had a pretty good variety for a hotel chain, with both hot and cold selection. I was able to bring the girls food back to the room on a tray. All in all - I would stay here again and would recommend this to others. December 27, 2014
