This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel, when they saw my reservation they knew who I was, they remembered me! that says a lot about the staff and management. The GM was there when I walked in and not only greeted me by name but with a hug which was very much needed. I call the front desk girls Barbie 1 and Barbie 2 because they are so sweet, funny, kind, caring and not to mention beautiful! they always have a smile on their face and they seem to enjoy nice conversation. I went to get something to eat before checking in, as luck would have it all drive thru's were out, the power went down. Lucky for me the GM still had food out, she takes it upon herself to provide snacks for people, the meatballs were really good!! and this hotel is the only one hat I have been to that keeps the fruit and oatmeal out after breakfast, all day long so people have something to eat when they get in. Honestly if I could live there I would. I recommend this hotel, I recommend going out of your way to stay there. I just don't understand why it is an express hotel, as beautiful and big as it is I think it would be full service, I'd say it is but just without the restaurant.

My wife and I stayed the night while moving our daughter to Kingsport for a summer internship. First let me say the young lady at the front desk was more than helpful and did everything in her power to make our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, she was trying to run the entire facility alone, including being the maintenance person as well. Our thermostat in our room wasn't working so she tried for 3 hours to get someone to come in and get it going to no avail. She personally brought us a fan about 10:30 that night. It didn't help much as three 10 year olds ran the halls until 1:30 am. Beds are definitely what I am accustomed to in Holiday Inns. Hard as a rock. I've stayed in many Holiday Inn's in many different states over the years and this was the most disappointed i've been. Had to happen eventually lol. Also, the poor girl at the front desk was apparently still there when we checked out the next morning.

Rooms were large, great layout in suite. Good value for the money. Location was great.
