As I stay here many times over the course of the year, it seems that during a stay one can only eat re-warmed ham or sausage so many times. I see bacon has been taken off the menu.

Good location, lots of places nearby if you want to do more than just eat at a restaurant (we got some nuts and things next door). Room was very clean, modern and everything worked. Front desk was really efficient and friendly at check-in, heck - they even laughed at my corny jokes.
Highly recommend you stay here.

Your hotel was great. It was very convenient during the recent snow storm. The staff was very helpful and hotel entrance, lobby, breakfast area, room & pool areas were all extremely clean & well maintained.

I travel to Kingston on a regular basis for both business and pleasure and would not think of staying at any other hotel in Kingston. The quality of the facility is unmatched by any other hotels in Kingston. I have been travelling to Kingston for the above reasons for at least 30 years and was pleased to stay at this property once it was built and opened. I have referred many family members and business associates to this hotel and they have always thanked me afterwards. Not only is the facility kept up to the highest standards but the attitude of the staff is commendable. Recognition of Priority Club Membership is an added bonus and makes one really "feel at home".

+ Warm & efficient check-in
+ Attractive suite with two large rooms (entry to living room; bedroom at back)
+ Rooms are divided by a wet bar - nicely equipped with a sink, full-power microwave, bar fridge and cabinets
+ Comfortable beds/pillows/duvet
+ Nice soundproofing
+ Efficient modern wall-mounted heating unit with a mild hum
+ Smartly designed bathroom with ample counter and floor space
+ Ergonomic showerhead and hot water within 10 seconds
+ Two 42" Samsung plasmas, large work desk, area
+ Modern decor and thoughtful artwork throughout
+ Clean public areas; inviting lobby
+ Very good hot breakfast, especially by HIX standards
+ Directly off 401 highway with free parking; a mellow 5-minute drive to downtown Kingston
Cons
- Extended suites lack touches: empty cabinets with no glassware was odd; no robe; no-name toiletries
- No HD channels
- Slow-moving elevator
- Hot tub ON/OFF timer inexplicably hidden ... never experienced this anywhere else ... at the very least, there should be a sign
Overall, an excellent property.

The only concerns were the lukewarm temperature of the eggs and meats at breakfast, and lukewarm water for showering on my second day.

My husband and I spent a weekend away in Kingston and chose HIE because of the reviews and king/whirlpool suites and we were not disappointed! We were happy from check in to check out! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Offering assistance with where to go and even offering to make reservations :) The room was extremely clean, spacious, and very comfortable! No noise issues at all. We will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone we know going to the area!! Thank you Biba and HIE Kingston staff!!

Overall good experience. Quiet room. The front parking lot is small and a few big trucks were taking up multiple spots while the back parking lot was nearly empty. The back parking lot could have more lighting and snow removal.

We decided to take our 2 children (age 4 and 5) on a one night stay at the Holiday Inn in Kingston. The room was great (an extended King Suite) and the kids had a ton of fun. We asked for a late check out so our boys could have one last swim, and got one no problem...we were enjoying the hot tub when we decided to stay one more night! Our room was available again, so we were in luck. Tthe breakfast was yummy, our boys loved the pancake machine, and the yogurt and eggs were great. I even had a workout in the gym, which had all that a person would need (3 pieces of cardio equipment, free weights, a bench, a ball, yoga mat, even a tv) There is a Shopper's Drugmart across the road, it is near a movie theater, fast food restaurants, and has 3 different gas stations near by too...our boys loved having a Bulk Barn to choose a few snacks from.
We will definitely be back..

We found the accomodations excellent, and the staff very attentive to our arrival and departure. The full service restaurant next door saved us driving around town looking for a place for dinner. A great place to stop when travelling through Ontario.

As I have come to expect the Kingston Holiday Inn Express was an excellent choice for my Christmas stayover - staff were friendly and efficient. Overall nothing to complain about and an excellent stay overall.

This is a very well run property. The convenient location is also handy to see all the sites in the Kingston area. The facility is extremely well maintained. Customer service was the best.

I had to stay when my car broke down. I booked at the last minute and walked into the lobby visibly upset and the front desk clerk was very kind, efficiently checked me into a room, upgraded me to a King Size Room, and kindly slid a bottle of water and a nutrigrain bar across the counter saying I hope your night improves, let us know if there was anything I can do
Clean and comfortable and very kind staff.

I love this hotel (kingston). The staff are very nice and always smiling. The rooms are clean (especially the bed sheets). I stayed here for almost 3 weeks and slept like a baby (didn't even miss my bed at home).

Super friendly , cheerful , and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, clean, and reasonably quiet. Upper floors are quieter it seems. Good choices for breakfast and it's free!! Can't beat that! I have stayed here many many times over the last three months on business and a lot of the staff know me by name. Almost feels like home. Will continue to stay here for sure.

My son and I have stayed twice at this Hotel. I often do alot of buisness on the weekend in Kingston and I take my son along with me for the trip. We used to stay at another Hotel but I was not always happy with the service, so I decided to try this Hotel. Both visits were wonderful, the rooms are always great and the service is wonderful. The first time we were a little late for breakfast and they let us come in and enjoy anyway, the wonderful attendant even made my son his pancake. The second visit we were late in coming in and my son wanted to enjoy the pool, even though the pool doors were to close in 5 min the service desk attendant let us swim for half an hour. My future visits will always be booked at this hotel.

I would highly recommend this particular Holiday Inn Express. Not only were the rooms spacious and comfortable, but the staff provided me with a take out breakfast because I checked out before the complimentary breakfast even opened.

I have been a Priority Club member since 2000. This was the first time I stayed in this hotel.
I liked the breakfast made available during my stay - it was convenient, simple so it suited my needs, and was in a room with a pleasant atmosphere.
Security is a large issue with me. Never before have I had to use my room key to enter the hotel after 11:00 pm. It was wonderful! I always seek to be aware of my surroundings, and found this added security feature meant that easy and accessible entrance was denied to anyone who didn't have the right to be in the hotel either by being a customer or being unable to convince the hotel desk staff that they should be allowed in.
I also liked the pool area - nicely set up, bright lighting, and warm. There could be a sign however to more easily identify the buttom to push to work the whirlpool.
I will be back !
