There was a man behind the counter with the front desk agent when I arrived. He had to tell the agent to take of me first. The agent seemed preoccupied with the other person, didn't acknowledge my rewards club membership and rushed through the check in process. He couldn't get back to the man behind the counter quick enough. I don't know what was going on but it wasn't very professional.

They assigned me a smoking room. I then requested non smoking. Front desk person said all rooms booked. It was obvious from parking lot many rooms available. They had a bill when checking in completely different from email confirmation. Maher sure you check for the correct amount.

Anytime I have to go out of town the first hotel I look at is the Holiday Inn Express. I have always had a great experience with them and the staff has always been great.
My latest experience was the first real issue I've had with the company but it wasn't the hotel itself but with the company's website. When I reserved the room through their website I booked a room with double queens. When I arrive at the hotel I found that they do not have any suites with double queens, only a king bed. There were a few other folks checking in that apparently had the same issue.
I mentioned the issue to the staff during my check out and they quickly apologized for the issue and discounted my room by about half. I really appreciated the gesture but if the website does not get corrected then there is a bigger issue.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip and everything was completely satisfactory. The staff were very polite and actually seemed to enjoy their jobs. The woman who was in charge of the dining room at breakfast was especially nice and pleasant. I would stay again.

Basically a hard working staff trying to make due with the tools they are given. Problems with TV and rooms continue even though the staff wants to do right but I seriously think the owner is indifferent to their requests or doesn't push issues to their vendors with enough urgency. The foyer Smells like a sewer.
