Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK, but nothing wonderful At the time this property was built it was probably above average. However, time has crept up on it and made it look a bit tired. With a remodel, it would easily be the best property in Kokomo. The facility is clean and the staff does a 9 out of 10 keeping it that way. I guess for what I paid for the room, I have stayed in much nicer properties. The breakfast was very average, but palatable. If you are staying in Kokomo, this property is as good as any other so I would stay again. October 1, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate hotel The room and bed were comfortable. The bathroom floor tile needs to be replaced. Our room was next to the mechanical room and the noise kept my husband, who is a light sleeper, awake most of the night. We brought this to the attention of the staff at checkout so hopefully they will do something to insulate the room more. We might stay there again if we are in the area, but ask not to be assigned this room again. September 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Class Reunion Weekend Sept 2014 I had a great stay for my class reunion weekend. I was surprised with an upgrade to a suite . . which was excellent as I had planned to invite class members or family to come and visit the challenge I found was the sofa bed in the room was not somthing more than one person could sit on. I mentioned it to staff a couple of times and it appeared it was repaired but was not. The other thing that would be good is having instructions for the fireplace and the garden jacuzzi tub as I could not figure out how to work either one. The trip was great . . with the exception of the sofa bed everything was wonderful in the room. Look forward to another trip to Kokomo in the spring. September 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice, comfy beds. Hotel was nice, beds comfortable, clean. Our particular room was a suite, bathroom needed work, peeling paint above the shower area pretty bad. Pool was closed from what we assume was a health matter. Otherwise it was a nice stay. September 22, 2014

The coffee was good and I was able to find nonfat Greek yogurt, but the bagels were quite stale--pretty much inedible unless toasted, leading me to mistrust the freshness of other items. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK for business The hotel although dated in acceptable for business travel. it is close to major Kokomo businesses as well as restaurants within walking distance. the gym could use some new equipment as the buttons are broken on the treadmill but it works with some manipulation. the Happy Hour is a nice touch and was well attended. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by complaints We have stayed at this motel three to four times a year for several years. The staff at the front desk have been wonderful. However, as the price has gone up there are items that have deteriorated. Our bathroom shower had lots of mold. The breakfast quality has gone down. There is only one luggage cart for the entire hotel and it usually has one or more flat tires which makes it hard to push. There are not enough tables for the size of the motel.. The channel selection for the TV is terrible. We have complained of these things before. Nothing has improved and the shower condition has gotten worse. The price has gone up. It is an expensive hotel. We are considering finding another motel in Kokomo when we visit that area again., August 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and thoughtful We were coming in for a 3:30 wedding -- with a 3:00 check in, that did not allow us any time to rest after traveling and change our clothes. We were most concerned for my parents, who are in their 80s -- as they needed some time to rest. Donna went out of her way to get us into our rooms early -- even called me on my cell while we were traveling to let me know my parent's room was ready for them. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was very friendly. August 27, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nice room but no pool The room was very nice. The housekeepers were very friendly and willing to help. The girl at the desk when we checked in was superb. Not the same for the weekend night manager. He was not near as nice. The pool was closed due to chemical imbalance and I understand it has been closed for a while. Not a good thing. They should have at least informed people with reservations about the closing before arrival. The kids always like to swim. July 31, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall good to above average Our stay was for two nights for an American Legion baseball tournament, and I also did some online work while there. The staff was very customer service oriented, especially Terry and Rachel who both were especially helpful for us. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and well stocked. The parking lot was lighted well and seemed secure. There were restaurants within easy walking distance. There could have been one or two more electrical outlets near the desk. The only negative was that the pool filtration system appeared to not be working on the second day of our stay. July 3, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Facilities but Valuable Items left Behind were not Returned We have stayed at this facility a couple times now, and as far as the room, comfort, etc. it's a nice place. It's in a convenient spot, and compared to the other hotels around there it's always been a good value. Unfortunately the past trip, I left behind two valuable rings. After realizing this, I called the hotel and they did a search of the room. Nothing was found, so I thought they may have accidentally been thrown away. I returned to the hotel and was able to go through the trash from my room and others, but did not find any evidence of the rings or the cup they were in. I talked to hotel management, who followed up with their staff, and no trace of the rings have been found. The fact that they were not in the trash or anywhere in the room leads me to believe someone found them and did not turn them in. My advice is to double and triple check your room before you leave, and leave valuables at home. June 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Air Conditioner but GREAT otherwise Customer service was excellent. Due to the air conditioning issue, I also met a member of the maintenance staff. Everyone at this property was friendly, helpful and very apologetic for the AC issue. They provided me with a fan as they were fully booked and I was able to stay comfortable without having to change hotels. I learned that there are several AC units that need to be replaced but the order hasn't arrived. I would encourage corporate to check on this order and support this property. Like all the Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed at, they provide excellent customer service but can be limited by what they can offer if they don't have the equipment to make their patrons' stays as comfortable as possible.
