Got lucky on our long drive as we just stopped with no reservation. Helpful young lady at the desk directed us to a great meal and was a joy to deal with. If I go back that way again I will stay here!

Was pleased to receive a room exactly as requested near pool. Lovely pool, nice temp; however pool room needs painting at the edges and about 1 foot up the walls. All other areas nicely kept up. Very clean rooms, liked the height of the ceiling made our room feel very spacious. Staff gracious and helpful. pleasantly greeted. Chocolate chip cookies always welcoming. Bed was good, (king bed)

When we arrived, there were young men in the lobby. I thought they were guest. I later learned that they are visiting the clerk that works behind the desk. Upon entering our room, there was an unpleasant odor. There were 4 of us in this room and there were only bath towels. We placed a call at the desk to request more towels but no one ever responded to our needs. Needless to say, we had to share towels with our mates. The toilet wobbled and the bathroom was something I would find at a road side motel. I am disappointed with this facility and would not stay there again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by stevekHGDKHGDflHDGS A few small things-
I love staying at the Holiday Inn In Lagrange and stay there frequently. the staff is absolutely wonderful and are always very polite and helpful.
However, there are a few things that seem to have been slipping lately and could use a bit of improvement. On this occasion and previously, lamps have been unplugged. This makes me have to move the furniture to plug them in. Frequently clocks are not set correctly. I set them. In this case one of the two beds was broken although fortunately I was staying alone so I just slept in the other. A room I normally stay in had a squeaky heater. I had reported this last time I stayed there, a week previous, and even called back to make sure that they would get it fixed. When I arrived, however, it was not fixed and I had to switch rooms again. also, at times the heater or air conditioning are not on when I arrive and the room is at an uncomfortable temperature.
Again, the staff is great and I love the Holiday Inn, but I would like to see these things addressed. Plug in the lamps, set the clocks, have the room a comfortable temperature, and fix the things that are broken. That's my advice. Thanks much,

We try to stay at an IHG hotel, because we are know the place will be of a certain quality. This property was fine for two weary travelers who had been on the road for the past 11 hours. Room was clean, bedding was exceptional and we liked the fridge and microwave in the room. We had room #124, a handicap room, (we are not disabled, but what-ever) and it was on the 1st floor. My only complaint is the ceiling height. May seem trivial, but there was an echo in the room and the bathroom (being handicap I assume) was extremely large and with the high ceiling, it did not retain heat. Breakfast was the usual Express hot and cold fare, and we were counting on that because we like it. Indoor pool was across from our room and kids were enthusiastically enjoying it in the evening, but it didn't bother us. We would stay again if the opportunity arose.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cosmo253 Worst stay ever
This is the first time we got our room with points earned and it was wasted. The room was musty and everything was dusty. The whirlpool tub motor kept going and off during the night. When we first notified the night attendant, he said it did that several times a day. There was no water in it and we were not running it. The room did not have TV remote. I called down to front desk and ask him for a remote, which he was going to bring up. We went to dinner and returned 2 hrs later. The attendant was outside smoking and a cell phone. We walked into lobby with front desk phones ringing off hook. When we got to room there was no remote. I tried calling but no answer. So I went downstairs while I waited 30 mins for him to finishing talking to whom I assume was the manager telling them how many guest were booked and how he gave one of the rooms to his cousin at a discount only to find out he wasn't supposed to do that. He kindly told me to wait he would be with me in a minute. Finally, he went up to room he was going to stay in and brought us his remote. This is what we get for using our points. We've stay in a lot of Holiday Expresses and loved them. This hotel should not be part of rewards program.

No eggs. Never did show up. Server came out and checked the empty tray but never did refill it. He had eggs ready in the kitchen but was too busy looking at his cell phone which was practically in the dish of eggs he was stirring to bring them out to the guests. We were not the only ones in the breakfast room. There were 5 others.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 6543 Unusually bad experience for HI Express
I have stayed in many HI Express hotels and unfortunately this was one of the worst. The room was not clean. The key machine at the front desk did not work, so the night manager had to use the master key to let us in our room (which meant we did not have a key to the room). The bed was unusually noisy. Overall, this was not a good experience.
