I checked in on that Saturday afternoon and the attendant had more buisness on her cellphone than the hotel had. I checked in and was not recognized as a priority club member nor did I receive the welcome bag with the water and the snacks. I came back to the desk to inquire about directions about Lake Charles and she was then pre occupied on her phone texting or playing a game. On sunday when I woke up I hadn't received my quick checkout receipt underneath my door. Checkout was at 1200. I made it a point to check out late just to see if anyone would check to see if I was still there. To my suprise no one checked to see if I had checked out or if I had any problems. I am from Louisiana but I will never stay In this hotel again. It seemed as if no one on the staff cared about the guest. The attendant did not even tell me to enjoy my stay! WOW!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, the hotel was nice but the customer service was awful. I have stayed at many holiday inn's because I love to travel and I love their hotels but this one by far was the worst in custoner satisfaction with the workers.

I stay at a Holiday Inn Express about 3 times a mont in various locations and this Holiday Inn Express was one of the better hotels I've stayed in. I will definitely return.

Rooms are a little outdated, but for the price it beats the location on Lake St.-you get the free breakfast, Internet, and a comfy bed for about $20 less.

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything about the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, our room had a funny odor. The housekeeing staff came immediately with deodorizing spray and they also re-cleaned the bathroom. It was just stuffy from not having the A/C on, but they took care of the problem efficiently.

I had left something in the room when I checked out. Two hours later I called to see if it was still in the room. I was told it was and that I needed to pay to have it shipped to me. Come to find out, it was not what I had left behind and I was out $100. I have a suspension that one of the staff walked away with my property. Also, the lady that I usually check in with is very unfriendly. And to top it all off, the room I stayed in last time had a shower that was gross, including what looked like fecal matter rubbed on the shower head. I will NEVER stay here again and I have recommended to my other coworkers that they start staying somewhere else.

Was very upset with my room and ask to move to another room after killing 4 roaches in my room. Even after moving into a new room was unable to rest because of itching all over and thinking there would be roaches in that room also. Did not rest well and felt very tired for my meeting the next day. Needless to say I was not happy at all during this trip.

We usually have excellent experiences at Holiday Inn Express properties but this older location does not meet current standards. The superficial upgrades help but the systems are old. Moreover, the staff failed to provide bath items, which left me to go searching for a housekeeper in the morning.
