Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Staff needs basic training in service orientation i found the staff rude and not characteristic of the majority of holiday inns i have stayed at. their default is NO, before even checking. I strongly suggest retraining in basic service, attitude and politeness. the customer IS NOT always wrong. there are many hotels to choose from and IHG can not afford to have even one customer treated poorly and allowing that to impact on future travelers. And, of course, i was not recognized for being an IHG rewards club member nor offered the basic accommodation - points. September 6, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel and excellent value and service This hotel is located in a very beautiful, scenic area. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are nicely appointed. The staff members are helpful and courteous. We stayed here because it was close to Emerald Point Marina, and the location worked out very well for us. We were surprised at the quality of the breakfast food at this hotel, especially the bacon (not overcooked). There was a very good selection of food items. Also, the hotel served the cinnamon rolls warm (nice touch). One other unusual experience is that they offer pancakes down in the breakfast area until about 12:00 p.m. at night. They have a pancake maker and coffee, and there was quite a crowd down there when we came back to the hotel around midnight. Our stay was very pleasant and we only experienced a couple of small issues. Our hotel keys were turned off at 10:45 a.m. on check-out day (and we had asked for a late checkout at noon), but this was corrected immediately when we went down to the front desk. Also, the refrigerator in our room needed cleaning and defrosting, and the stopper was missing from the bathroom sink (we didn't report either of these items to the hotel staff). August 26, 2015
