The rating for "Service" would have been a 5 instead of 2 had a small, but important, item not been allowed to expire--Wi-Fi Availability. I stay at only locations with Wi-Fi service. Because I use it extensively, it's a burden and frustration when it's supposed to be available and isn't. On the last morning of my 4-night stay, it wasn't available when I needed it to plan my days route, to check winter weather conditions, to find local resources and to notify family and friends, by email, of my travel plans. When I notified the front desk to complain, the young man was very apologetic and explained that the password had expired overnight and could not be reset until the manager arrived. I agree this is a small item, but to many, it's an absolute necessity. For some it's required; therefore, there should never be a time when the Wi-Fi password expires without being reset immediately. I'm positive I'm not the only customer who was inconvenienced by not having Wi-Fi availability that morning. It was unfortunate that this small experience left a bad taste towards this location for an otherwise pleasant experience.

I am a platinum member and stay with Holiday Inns all the time.
It started with the reservation that I made for 3 night, when I arrived they did not have record of it, then refuused to give me a corp. rate, then the next morning checked me out. / Still needing 2 more nights.
I wrote a note to the manager. I did get an appology letter.
No other compensation what so ever.
I am done with this location. Everytime I have stayed there, have had problems.

We are frequent visitors to the HIE in Lamar. The staff is exceptional, welcoming and even greets us by name now. It's the best motel in the area without a doubt.

The desk employee was poor at customer service. No smile, no greeting, seemed too busy with whatever she was doing in the backroom to give any time to your guest. No upgrade! No bag of goodies! No thank you for Platinum. I guess I got used to the service of over 10 other Holiday Inns this year to lower myself to this standard. Pretty unexciting service! Not that great a room or property so I believe I will keep driving next time. Thanks for listening and no I am not satisfied and your guarantee was not met! Have a good day! Joe

Needed help with two problems. The staff went out of their way to help. Pet accommodations ok. Breakfast ok. Room ok. Very convenient location, Close to downtown services. Excellent price for pets.
