The staff was fantastic and it was a perfect experience. One in particular who went over and above to make our family feel like we were at a home away from home was named Matt. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Best Hotel in Lancaster The hotel was in good shape and we had a clean room. The staff is always very courteous, but I do a lot of business travel and personal travel. I see a lot of hotel rooms and this property is the best in Lancaster, but there is only one or two other hotels. If Columbus were 10 minutes closer, then I would stay there. December 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean rooms and friendly staff I've been at this hotel for 9+ weeks. The staff treats me very well and my room is always clean. The hotel could use some maintenance, doors don't seal well, drains are slow. The Continental breakfast has deteriorated with the addition of a quite bad "breakfast burrito" to the breakfast meal plan and the bad fruit that is put out for breakfast. I don't think anyone wants almost black bananas or moldy oranges. November 24, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great 4 Night/3 Day Experience My husband and I stayed at the Lancaster Holiday Inn Aug 29-Sept 1st over the Labor Day Weekend Holiday while visiting our daughter in Lancaster. We'd never been to this property before, but were well pleased with the pleasant staff, accommodations, and breakfast & eating area. We were particularly pleased and impressed that after our 2nd day of stay we decided to extend our visit 1 extra day, and they were able to accommodate our desire to do so AND we were able to stay in the same room, not having to move just for our last night's stay. Will DEFINITELY stay again if back to visit our daughter while she's in that area. November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good value, friendly staff Staff is friendly and helpful. Great variety at breakfast and one staff is always there to assist.. This chain is pretty consistent so you know what you're getting. Good value and comfort for money. Housekeeping does good job in cleaning but this time as a stay over they did not clean my room one day and the next day they missed a few small things, e.g. coffee pot, wastebasket, new cups. Maybe they could use a detailed checklist that has to be completed by housekeeper? And, if my towel is on the rack I don't need a fresh one, etc. Isn't that the policy most places? The biggest issue I have with these rooms (and most hotels too) are the doors that clunk when they shut. I've seen some hotels that have a soft but secure door closing system, perhaps when these hotels get makeover management can look into that. I've stayed at 3 of these hotels and at each one there is a smoking area just outside the entrance, front and rear. At times, the smoke drifts into the first couple rooms as the a/c intake is very close. I just avoid those rooms but maybe smoking areas can be moved farther from doors and rooms. November 4, 2014
