The staff is super and gives great service from housekeeping to the office. It is certainly one of the very cleanest. Each stay was an all around pleasant experience. We look forward to going back! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff & Great Breakfast We have stayed several times in the Holiday Inn Express in Lansing, IL as we have family nearby that we visit from time to time. The staff -- especially Lupe at the front desk -- have always been very friendly and helpful to us. We also enjoy the wide variety of items available for breakfast and the coffee available throughout the day. Our rooms have always been very clean, neat and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others as a wonderful place to stay. January 1, 2014

Her offer of complimentary Priority Points (pending) and a Room Upgrade (complete) were beyond gracious. I am very happy I chose this property while visiting the Lansing area. I will definitely reserve a room in the future. The staff (and the breakfast) may the points and money worthwhile. November 19, 2013

My husband and I were coming back to the Chicago for the 97th Birthday of a family member and looking for a hotel that would be close...Since we usually stay at Holiday Inn Expresses if we can, we found this one that was not too far from the Orland Park area where we were going for the Celebration. What a wonderful Holiday Inn Express! This hotel was extremely clean, well managed ----and the staff - each member we interacted with was so polite, friendly and asking if we were doing okay or if we needed anything. They recommended a grocery store and florist for us in the area. We definitely will return to this hotel if we want to stay in this part of the Chicago Area...Thanks to this team for giving us A+ service and making our stay so very comfortable Thanks, Team! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great weekend visit but..... I decided to take my kids here for a mini weekend getaway to enjoy the pool. First the staff was great, the breakfast was great. The bad... I had a roll away bed it was the WORSE BED I EVER SLEPT ON IN MY LIFE. I was better off sleeping on the floor since this was an extra cost I expected better. My advice GET RID OF THE CURRENT ROLL AWAY BEDS AND UPGRADE THEM... November 13, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The staff make this hotel even better! I tend to stay at this property at least once and sometimes twice in a year. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Dorene (who I would often seen in the afternoons) was extremely kind and helpful. She even surprised me by calling me by name. She is very professional and does a great job to make you feel welcome. David (who I saw mostly late at night) was also very friendly - knowing who I was and what room I was in and made our visit nice. Lupe (who I would see in the mornings) was always there with a smile on her face and a kind friendly greeting. She was also helpful for special requests and local information. The cleaning staff and maintenance staff were all friendly and helpful - even if a request wasn't their responsibility, they would see to it our needs were met. Overall the hotel is very nice on its own, but the people that work there make the hotel stand out from many others that I have stayed at. October 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and Service I stayed at The Lansing location for almost 5 and 1/2 months while working on a CTA project in Chicago. My stay was always good due to the hardworking and friendly staff. The house keeping ladies always did a great job keeping my room fresh and clean. The maintenance guys did a great job keeping up the building . Not to be forgotten are the nice and friendly people that work the front desk. I didn't get to eat breakfast much the last half of my stay because we left for work before six, but the nice people who cooked and cleaned the cafe when they came to work made sure we could get coffee and things such as fruit or hardboiled eggs to take with us. That I really did appreciate. My thanks to all of them for making my time away from home that much easier to cope with. September 30, 2013

The beds were pretty hard, but the pillows were very soft. The only problem I had with the room was finding hair in the shower that was not mine or my husbands. As a heavy business traveler, there are not many hotel stays that I would typically characterize as "over and beyond" in terms of great service and this happened to be one of those rare instances. I was greeted with an incredible smile, a clean "king" hotel room, and a nice breakfast each day. The hotel staff addressed all of my request with a sense of urgency and made me feel "special". As a Chicago native, when I return again for business or pleasure, this location will be at the top of my list. Great job IHG, you got this one right!!! September 21, 2013

Doreen at the front desk always greets you with a smile and fresh baked cookies. The pool is relaxing and the gym is small but it has what you need. Overall a great experience. August 28, 2013

Midway is about 30 minutes away and Chicago's waterfront is about 25 minutes away when there isn't any traffic. The only disappointment is that there isn't a jacuzzi but there is a nice indoor pool. Several excellent restaurants near the hotel. Hotel staff were very warm and friendly. Staff were able to easily provide directions and answer questions concerning local attractions. I do plan to stay at the Lansing Holiday Inn Express during future trips to Chicago. August 13, 2013

Instead of 2 straight back chairs at desk how about a high back office chair and then a sitting chair to watch TV in instead of sitting on the bed. How about being able to order delivery service from local pizza places. Last thing was I got to purchase ice cream 1 day out of 5 because you were out from Tuesday to Friday. August 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff This has always been an excellent stay when I visit my manufacturng plant once or twice per year, On this last trip I was traveling with a customer and they accidentally reserved only 1 instead of the 2 rooms needed for their party. The staff immediately knew all the options and helped us with the issues - no questions asked - and we located an alternative. The folks that evening and the following morning are some of the best most understanding at any Holiday Inn (I stay about 70 nights per year). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable room/bed, very clean & relaxing We stayed here from Michigan for a wedding. Hotel was in between the church (near downtown) and reception (Markham). It was 15mins in either direction. Front desk staff and hotel employees were very nice. No matter who we walked passed they had a "hello" and a smile. Most people don't even make eye contact nowadays. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Chicago. July 28, 2013
