We love this hotel. It is the only one in this town we would consider staying in. We changed the dates of our vacation, because it was booked full the first weekend we had chosen. We got the room we requested. Everything was wonderful.

Tony was very helpful at the front desk making the reservation, checking in, and with general questions. Breakfast food was poor -- would appreciate quality fresh fruit, better coffee, less rubbery eggs. Overall, pretty good value for the money.

Overall a nice experience. The rooms need updating, new carpets, brighter colors, higher toilets, etc. Could use a shuttle service to Leavenworth for meals,etc. as there`s only fast food places nearby and no onsite restaurant. Once there you are stuck unless you have a car. The 5-Guys shuttle from the airport is excellent but expensive unless you share it with others. Overall I enjoyed my stay for the NCA Convention held in Leavenworth at the C.W.Parker Carousel Museum as they took care of our transport back and forth.

During the process of teaching a class at Ft. Leavenworth, I made reservations to stay here and found out the only room they had available was a smoking room. In 2013 who still has smoking rooms?! The curtains were only for decor as they didn't close at all and a huge parking lot flood light shined into my room every night. I brought this issue up with the staff who provided me a hole-ridden blanket and paper clips to clip the blanket to the faux curtains, which I did, making my business room look like a refugee camp. No fresh fruit or healthy options in the morning for breakfast, 2 tour busses of people managed to eat everything before I got there and I was usually out of the hotel by 7:15 AM. Absolutely the worst IHG stay I have ever experienced. Making me rethink using this company.

TV reception was crystal clear .... LED TV was super.
WiFi was not reliable and 80% of the time could not support NETFLIX streaming. During peak usage time .... 8PM-10PM, WiFi was useless.

I would recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone traveling in that area for business or pleasure. It was in a good location with all the required amenities close by. This is one of the best Holiday Inn's I stayed at.

I do not regret to have chosen this hotel and I think everyone when in Leavenworth should stay there in order to share my thought.The place is clean, the breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly.Best place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have been using this hotel since the late '90s and have never been disappointed. Great service from Manager Beth and her staff, from the warm cookies when I come in from work to the comfortable room. Always attentive to my needs.

My sister and I tried to check in at about 1:45 PM on 25 July 2013. The manager (Beth) said that all of the rooms were being inspected and none were available. Since when are all of the rooms being "inspected all at the same time" (LIE). This was also noted by another customer on another comment. Looks like a pattern to me. So we waited for an hour and a half until they said we could check-in. Never had that happen at any IHG across the entire country and overseas. Poor manager and poor planning. Corporate needs to check that out.
Another staff member named Alex had a sour face on the entire 4 days we stayed there. Not a smile at any time and we felt asking anything was a waste of time since she acted like she didn't want to be there.

The hotel was very clean and everyone was very nice but we arrived 1 hour before the required check-in and requested if at all possible to check in early since we had traveled for 9 hours and were in town for a funeral. The viewing for an immediate family member was scheduled for 4:00 and we needed extra time to get cleaned up before we left for the viewing. They said they couldn't release the rooms till 4:00. It's hard for me to believe all the rooms were cleaned at the same time. I've never checked into any hotel that didn't have early check-in if rooms were available. I will probably never stay at another Holiday Inn.

I really appreciate this HIE property. It is a quiet location and always friendly. The staff do their best to fill my request for exact room requests.
On my last stay, I was disappointed with the breakfast meat options - I always like bacon or patty sausage over linked sausage - but that is a personal preference and I am thankful to have such a wonderful breakfast!

Overall stay was nice. Staff is nice and polite, but the eggs that are used are barely edible. The other items are ok, but I think that a different brand of egg should be used. I feel so strongly about this that I changed my hotel reservations for our next trip to Corpus. Breakfast is a big part of why I choose the hotel When you travel it is a huge benefit to have breakfast on the go so you can get on with your day, so this is a very important feature for me and my family.

This was our first visit to Levenworth area, researched hotels and we were not disappointed. Tony at desk was terrific, AC worked great, food decent, clean hotel would come again anytime. Best location in the Levenworth area highly recommend it.

We originally tried to get two adjoining rooms for our family of eight. We were told that there were only side-by-side rooms available by the national reservation number. I called the hotel directly three days prior and they gave me two adjoining rooms on the first floor. That is good for a family with six boys!
The breakfast was awesome! We even looked into buying a Quickcakes machine for our family.
We only had two issues. One was the lack of cookies in the evening. I have stayed at HIEs across the country for years and this was the first time that cookies were not available. Also, two of the nits the desk attendant was constantly away from the desk watching the TV in the lobby. I saw this as an unprofessional behavior and not something I would pay my employees to do.
Overall, I recommend this HIE.

The room and front desk were excellent. I requested a room on the first floor and I was able to get one. The only problem I had was with the breakfast on Friday & Saturday. On Friday there was no meat on the breakfast bar when I ate. This was between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM. The meat that was on the breakfast bar on Saturday was warm at the most. It was about the same time as Friday. Sunday breakfast was up standards. I have stayed in this hotel before and never found this in the condition in the past. I will be staying again at this hotel and I do recommend this place to my friends.

Thanks for adding some amenities in the business center. It was nice to have some paper, pens, and paperclips in the center. I missed my Priority Club "goodie bag" in my room, but the business center supplies were helpful.
I like it when you have breakfast options for protein other than linked sausage. Bacon and sausage patties are always good.
Overall, staying at the Lansing HIE is always a pleasure!!

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Lansing, KS on multiple trips to the area. The staff at the hotel has always been very accommodating, friendly, and understanding. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Great selection of breakfast choices and the value of the stay is competitive with the surrounding hotels. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to the area. Thanks for great hospitality!

I continue to appreciate and enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Lansing. The front desk staff are always courteous and helpful. A long time ago, I requested to have a certain room number and they do their best to honor that request. Additionally, as a Priority Club Member, I often have a goodie bag waiting for me in my room - a real nice amenity when I arrive late at night, hungry and tired! Thanks!

This a great place to stay for business or pleasure. There were a lot of good things about this location. When you arrive there at the front desk, they treat you with kindness and respect. The worker who took care of the breakfast kept the area clean and food warm. The food (eggs, biscuits) was not dry, they were good and the coffee was hot. The room service was also excellent, always looks and smells clean. The house keeping ladies were always leaving notes with smiles and very friendly, make you feel at home.
As a frequent traveler, I have a choice to stay in different hotels in this area, but I say this is the best places to stay in. There are a lot of places you go to and don’t take pride in what they do, but this place goes out beyond your expectations. Thanks to all and see you soon! v/r Johnny G., Tx

My reservation that I made online was not there at this hotel. First time that has happened and I suspect it was this hotel that did not do things right.
It is an older Holiday Inn and should be renovated. There was one electrical plug i could get to and it had a power strip dangling off the floor that I had to plug my electronics into in addition to the lamp, microwave and refrigerator that were already plugged into this strip. To say it was very inconvenient becasue the strip was neither on the floor or near the top of the desk is an understatement.
This hotel was an exception to my otehrwise great experience with Holiday Inn Express hotels. Once they get upgraded/renovated they will likely come up to the standard I suspect from this chain.

This hotel has worn finishes; carpet needs replacement (at least in our room-313). Several maintenance issues; broken/missing base cove tiles in bath; lock on door was loose, etc.

I have stayed at many other Holiday Inn Express and this one by far EXCEEDS the standard for this brand! Lovely clean lobby area that is softly lite, professional staff, warm and professionally presented breakfast buffet. The bathrooms have ALL the ammenities: mouth wash, lotions, gels etc and if you are a rewards member, there is a nice snack gift waiting in your room! The property is perfectly clean and I have not encountered a warmer, friendlier staff than what is represented on this property!

Thank you for another great visit! I loved the potato hash browns in the morning - this was the first time I have seen hash browns added to the already fabulous breakfast! The folks are always so helpful at the Lansing and Bonner Springs HIE! Kudos to the Midwest!!

Don and I come to Leavenworth/Lansing or Kansas for 3 months every fall to watch our son, Scott, play football for the USM Spires. This hotel has been exemplary for the last 2 years. We WILL be back in 2013! The staff is the BEST! We sometimes arrive in the middle of the night - and we are ALWAYS greeted by a smiling hotel worker. ALL of our needs are taken care of immediately. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is a very good experience. Special attention is ALWAYS given to us - and I imagine it is the same with all guests.
Thank you for being a great place to stay as we cheer for our team!

The stay was less than what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were noisy, the hot water wasn't very hot and I wasn't treated as though my business mattered. The neigbor's shower caused a very loud clicking sound in my room which woke me up multiple days, while my own shower squeeled.
The breakfast worker was awesome. My room was clean.

I reserved this hotel, at a hiked up rate for the races nearby. I reserved online with a click on the 'smoking' button for my husband who stood nearby to ensure I got smoking... When we arrived, they put us on the 3rd floor at the farthest room...Much walking carrying luggage. We just got everything moved in when I realized that we were in a NON smoking room. Hubby and I went down to the desk to tell them we were in a non smoking when we requested smoking. They argued, saying we did NOT reserve a smoking room. We said we most certainly did and eventually they said "well, what you reserve online is whatever is available!" They moved us to the third floor opposite end of the hotel. We stayed there 2 nights, at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning they called the room, waking my husband who works 6 days a week and gets 2 weeks off a year. They told him that we have to move again, before noon. BUT THEY WOKE HIM AT 7!!!! They did offer us a nice suite upgrade and it was very nice, BUT NO SMOKING!!! So once again, we packed up and moved to the second floor... I have never had such disagreeable staff in a hotel in a long time. I usually stay at least 20 nights a year in hotels, if not more. I will NOT be back at this one!!!
