Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good place to stay I had been staying in mulitple IHG properties in the KC area due to my end being hospitalized and unable to get lodging at Ronald Mc Donald House as they we're booked out. I found this property as part of my IHG rewards nights to stay in and the staff was very helpful in trying to assist me with extended checkout and allowed me to use the facilities after check out. Everyone was very nice and all amenties were great! January 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lansing KS is a Famous SPEED TRAP Google: "Lansing KS speed trap" to confirm. In addition to your room charges, budget another $175 for your additional municipal contribution. We got busted in an unmarked "school zone" on Sunday morning at 10 AM. Hoteliers have an obligation to both warn their guests of this sort of monkey business AND to pressure their local governments to clean up. Until the latter happens, I wouldn't patronize any Lansing KS business. Beyond that experience, we can report the hotel was generally OK but not really clean. The hall ways and elevator lobbies were dirty, and pulling out a nightstand to plug in a computer revealed beer bottle caps and cookie and potato chip crumbs. Breakfast was good, and the hotel was quiet. PS: The local court will offer to "amend your speeding ticket" to a "non-moving violation" so you don't get speeding points on your insurance record. The fee for that is DOUBLE the speeding fine. Corrupt practices never end in this community. January 19, 2014

When we were getting ready to go to church on Sunday morning we realized that our new car did not have a snow scraper in it. We asked the young lady working the desk that morning if she had one that we could borrow. She not only provided us with a scraper, she shoveled a path for us all the way out to our car and all the way around it! She is definately an employee who we feel deserves recognition for going above and beyond! January 8, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beds were of good quality and comfortable. August of 2013 We stayed overnight. I placed clothing in the dresser drawer and I forgot to repack the clothes when we left. I contacted the Motel 3 or 4 times and they couldn't help or find the clothing. The clothing value that I left and lost was about 75 dollars. This has been my only bad experience with the Lansing Holiday Inn Express Motel. This is my hometown, and we always stay there when we go back to visit our children. December 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A bit overpriced - but the room and staff were great... We paid a bit over $100 a night for a 2 queen room for 2 nights. I felt that the room could have been a bit more taken care of - specifically the bathroom. There were loose tiles on the floor. We probably could have picked it up. We asked for a roll away cot and it was delivered a little late - but it was a holiday (Thanksgiving) and it was pretty busy. So, we understood. The breakfast served was great. I wasn't a fan of the eggs. But the cinnamon rolls ROCKED! The pool was very clean. The hot tub was enjoyable. We didn't use the gym or the laundry. December 13, 2013

The breakfast area attendant went above and beyond the call of duty to show me and my guest the layout of the food choices, and provided us trays when we asked to take coffee and bagels back to our room. The rooms need updating, new carpets, brighter colors, higher toilets, etc. Could use a shuttle service to Leavenworth for meals,etc. as there`s only fast food places nearby and no onsite restaurant. Once there you are stuck unless you have a car. The 5-Guys shuttle from the airport is excellent but expensive unless you share it with others. Overall I enjoyed my stay for the NCA Convention held in Leavenworth at the C.W.Parker Carousel Museum as they took care of our transport back and forth. October 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unpleasant Stay During the process of teaching a class at Ft. Leavenworth, I made reservations to stay here and found out the only room they had available was a smoking room. In 2013 who still has smoking rooms?! The curtains were only for decor as they didn't close at all and a huge parking lot flood light shined into my room every night. I brought this issue up with the staff who provided me a hole-ridden blanket and paper clips to clip the blanket to the faux curtains, which I did, making my business room look like a refugee camp. No fresh fruit or healthy options in the morning for breakfast, 2 tour busses of people managed to eat everything before I got there and I was usually out of the hotel by 7:15 AM. Absolutely the worst IHG stay I have ever experienced. Making me rethink using this company. October 1, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Manager My sister and I tried to check in at about 1:45 PM on 25 July 2013. The manager (Beth) said that all of the rooms were being inspected and none were available. Since when are all of the rooms being "inspected all at the same time" (LIE). This was also noted by another customer on another comment. Looks like a pattern to me. So we waited for an hour and a half until they said we could check-in. Never had that happen at any IHG across the entire country and overseas. Poor manager and poor planning. Corporate needs to check that out. Another staff member named Alex had a sour face on the entire 4 days we stayed there. Not a smile at any time and we felt asking anything was a waste of time since she acted like she didn't want to be there. August 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Check IN The hotel was very clean and everyone was very nice but we arrived 1 hour before the required check-in and requested if at all possible to check in early since we had traveled for 9 hours and were in town for a funeral. The viewing for an immediate family member was scheduled for 4:00 and we needed extra time to get cleaned up before we left for the viewing. They said they couldn't release the rooms till 4:00. It's hard for me to believe all the rooms were cleaned at the same time. I've never checked into any hotel that didn't have early check-in if rooms were available. I will probably never stay at another Holiday Inn. July 31, 2013

The staff do their best to fill my request for exact room requests. On my last stay, I was disappointed with the breakfast meat options - I always like bacon or patty sausage over linked sausage - but that is a personal preference and I am thankful to have such a wonderful breakfast! The other items are ok, but I think that a different brand of egg should be used. I feel so strongly about this that I changed my hotel reservations for our next trip to Corpus. Breakfast is a big part of why I choose the hotel When you travel it is a huge benefit to have breakfast on the go so you can get on with your day, so this is a very important feature for me and my family. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room for 8 We originally tried to get two adjoining rooms for our family of eight. We were told that there were only side-by-side rooms available by the national reservation number. I called the hotel directly three days prior and they gave me two adjoining rooms on the first floor. That is good for a family with six boys! The breakfast was awesome! We even looked into buying a Quickcakes machine for our family. We only had two issues. One was the lack of cookies in the evening. I have stayed at HIEs across the country for years and this was the first time that cookies were not available. Also, two of the nits the desk attendant was constantly away from the desk watching the TV in the lobby. I saw this as an unprofessional behavior and not something I would pay my employees to do. Overall, I recommend this HIE. June 5, 2013

The only problem I had was with the breakfast on Friday & Saturday. On Friday there was no meat on the breakfast bar when I ate. This was between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM. The meat that was on the breakfast bar on Saturday was warm at the most. It was about the same time as Friday. Sunday breakfast was up standards. I have stayed in this hotel before and never found this in the condition in the past. I will be staying again at this hotel and I do recommend this place to my friends. April 16, 2013
