We are from the area but live near Alpena now. We have many family and friends who live downstate. We have been staying at the hotel ever since it opened and think of it as our "home away from home"~ I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy that has progressed to the point I have to use a power scooter full time for mobility. I appreciate very much knowing that I have an accessible room that is going to meet my needs when we travel to Lapeer to visit family and friends. The staff does a wonderful job keeping everything very clean and everyone is always friendly and welcoming~ Breakfast is great and we enjoy visiting with friends in the lobby/living room area complete with a fireplace~ Plus, the new snacks and fresh popcorn are good too!

First time in Lapeer and choice of this hotel is excellent! We had an overnight stay in a clean, comfortable hotel conveniently located off I-69 and around shopping and restaurant area. Staff were courteous, room is spacious equipped with fridge/microwave, spacious and clean bathroom. Great breakfast selection and just a perfect accommodation.

Great to relax in such comfort. Staff made sure stay was great. Pool and Jukuzi was very nice. Assist Manager Ms. Bigger was very pleasent to speak with, her attention to detal suberb. Very nice property.

STAFF CALLED AHEAD OF ARRIVAL TO WELCOME US AND ASK IF THERE WERE ANY SPECIAL NEEDS. UPON ARRIVAL ACKNOWLEDGED PLATIMUM STATUS, WITH GREAT ROOM UPGRADE. FREE BOTTLE WATER AND CHOCOLATE BROWNIES. EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR STAY WAS DELIGHTFUL AND CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.

I arrived at the hotel and was greeted warmly and recognized as a Priority Club member. No problems with my check-in but when I got to my room, I discovered that it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. I had to go back to the front desk and get another room.
I decided to stay at this hotel because I was traveling in Michigan on business and this would give me an opportunity to relax and be able to have some breakfast before my 3 1/2 hour drive. When I went to breakfast at 6:30AM (it was advertised as starting at 6:00AM), there was hot coffee and cinnamon rolls that had just come out of the refrigerator; nothing else. I ended up stopping along the way for breakfast.
I'm sure that this isn't normal, but first impressions are the ones most remembered.

We were driving from Chicago to Canada. This was the perfect stopping place! The room was comfortable for three adults. The breakfast was much more than "Continental" . Omelets, pancakes, sausage and bacon graced the buffet table.
