When I got there Carroll was as friendly as usual, she even called me by name. I got to the room and everything went south, there was no hot water, I waited until 1am to take a bath but got tired of waiting and went to sleep. I get to bed, room 216 and the pillows smelled terrible and one of them hot hair. I need to tell you that I stayed at this hotel from Nov 12 to Feb 1st 2013, and this is the only time
i have a bad experience, the breakfast menu is always the same and the Bacon is the worst. What makes the difference for me is the staff, from the driver to the cleaning crew and the managers, always willing to help and make sure I'm satisfied, but this time the room was not cleaned and I could not even take a shower. I will come back because it was only one negative visit our of 65 days and I would take that any day.

We enjoyed our stay - the staff was courteous, helpful, and the breakfast was good. It was a pretty good value considering D.C. The shuttle service to a 6-mile radius was handy. Would liked to have had a room safe. Pool and hot tub were nice. Overall - nothing fancy, but a reasonable value with very nice staff.

I have stayed at this property on a somewhat regular basis since the first month it opened. The management is very attentive to every detail. Many of the staff are long-term members of the team, which is a good sign of how things are managed. When I am there, I feel like they are part of my extended family. If you are in the DC area, this would be the first place to think about. By the way, it is very convenient--right next to the Capital Beltway; and there is a large variety of shopping and dining experiences that are only minutes away.

My friend and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. I have nothing but fabulous comments about our stay. I mentioned to the manager that I would like to live there!! The front desk staff, housekeeping staff, shuttle drivers, everyone was all wonderful. Friendly, courteous, helpful. All of highest caliber! The room rate was fair, the breakfast was free, hot, kept stocked and there were healthy choices not just bagels and donuts. The breakfast area as well as the rest of the hotel was very clean and in excellent shape. The room was great. The holiday decorations looked like a designer did them but I found out it was the housekeeping staff. Anyone wanting a nice place to stay with an easy way to get into DC would be smart to choose this hotel. Location: it is very easy to get on and off I-95. The free shuttle and very nice drivers were an added plus as we went into DC via the metro and did not have to pay for parking at the metro. The manager even wrote out directions to the best priced gasoline. I also wrote a 5 star review on trip adviser's website. And no I am not related to anyone at this hotel!! Just a very happy guest. You could be one also!

We had a death in the family and I canceled at 6:50 and they said I needed to cancel by 6 so they charged me for the first night!! Are you kidding how could I have planned for this?!?!?! I will never stay with a Holiday Inn again, and I do a lot of traveling for work!

I requested a non smoking room, which I did get! The problem is that the smoking and non smoking rooms are on the same floor. When you get off the elevator you are overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke. The smell tapers off as you get to your room but is still on your clothes. Upon waking up in the morning I could smell a strong smoke smell in the bathroom and around the door way of my room. Then I had to come back through the progressively stronger smoke gauntlet to get to the elevator and then wait for it to arrive. After getting to my car a realized that my clothes then smelled like smoke which i was stuck with all day.
Would not stay here again!!!!!

The room is nice and comfortable, I love the pan cake machine at breakfast.
Only the staff did not aware of my membership status and did not asked at check in, and I did not enjoy any benefit, I have to remind them at checkout, and then give me the welcome bag at check out.

I had a very nice experience at this HI express. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was spacious and clean, and the area is remote enough for a quiet night's sleep but close enough to the Metro to make commuting into DC feasible. High recommend.

My husband and I just got married on October 26, 2012 and was looking for some were to just be together and enjoy our wedding night. So we picked Holiday Inn and it was a great choice. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We enjoy our stay and would do it again very soon.

As a college student, the hotel was a little pricey, but I had absolutely no complaints about my stay. I would rather pay more for a great stay than pay less and be uncomfortable/unclean/unsafe. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to DC. The breakfast was good as well.
