When I walked into this hotel, 2 front desk workers were talking with one another. One came over to help me, speaking in a VERY loud voice and quite rudely. When I indicated I had a reservation, he found the paperwork and threw it on the counter, again using his rude voice to ask me to initial and sign it. He did ask if I was a Priority Club member and gave me a gift bag (though not the usual Priority Club bag--a white lunch bag stapled at the top). The usual bottle of water was in the bag along with 1 packet of hot chocolate mix and 2 packets of Sweet and Low. REALLY? These were obviously from the breakfast bar. In coming and going by the front desk, the workers never spoke to us, as is common in all other Holiday Inns and Expresses in which I've stayed.
No fruit on the breakfast bar--not even a banana.
Upon leaving, a different front desk worker was listening to his ipod and did not acknowledge my departure.
I don't know how this hotel has earned 4 stars in the past--I will NEVER stay here again in my travels through Las Cruces.

Even though the hotel is apparently four years old, it looked brand new. It was very clean and quiet. We got a suite because we have 3 kids, and it was perfect. Definitely recommend it!

The lack of recognition of staff with priority members is a disrespect for the faithful traveler. Upgrades should be a mainstay no matter what.

We have enjoyed every stay at HIEx Las Cruces since it was rebuilt a few years ago. It is quiet, well-appointed, and reasonably spacious. In short, it is a no-issue inn.

Over priced compared to other Holiday Inn Express properties I stayed at during this trip. Even more expensive than a full service Holiday Inn. Will think twice before I stay at this property again.

We travel from CA to TX a couple of times a year and we always make a point of stopping at this Holiday Inn Express. The facility, the service and the attitudes of the staff are the BEST!

Everything was perfect. We had to reschedule last minute and they were able to accommodate us without question. The staff is friendly and the hotel is very clean. We intend to stay here annually during our holiday road trip.

From the second you walk through the front door of this hotel this awful smell that is as if someone took the cheapest bottle of perfume and poured it all over greets you. It was so strong and overwhelming that it made me sick. The king size bed in room 208 was miserable. It was too soft. The front office staff were unfriendly and never smiled once. The gentleman that worked the front desk that night was smoking a cigarette out front when I drove up which I find very unprofessional. I will never return to this hotel. The food was also disgusting. I don't know what that cheese like stuff was in the omelet, but then I don't think I want to.

This is a top notch HI Express and we make it a point to stay at this hotel anytime we travel through New Mexico on I-10. The staff is wonderful, the hotel is extremely well maintained and clean. We look forward to next time.

I have always loved staying at the Holiday Inn brand because I knew I got nice rooms and comfortable beds. I stayed at the HI in Washington, Utah and I couldn't, I mean couldn't stop commenting on their GREAT customer service, their beautiful large rooms and the overall comfort. Not true in Las Cruses. You walk into the lobby and there is this overbearing smell of a room deodorizer that continues throughout the first floor. Unfortunately for me, the front desk would not change my room BUT suggested I open the window!! On the first floor where my room faced an alley? Are you kidding? I ended up having to open the window because the air conditioner was soooo loud and I put a damp towel under the door! Nothing helped! I woke up with a sinus headache and sore thoart at 6 am and left! Never again will I stay there! Please get rid of the smelly air conditioning system in your lobby!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond. I have stayed at a lot of expensive hotels and not received the service that I experienced with this holiday inn. Will book with Holiday inn on future trips
