Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff The staff at this hotel is one of the best I have encountered. The gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and funny. He recommended a great Mexican restaurant. He was cracking jokes and making us laugh the entire time we were here. We go to check out the next day and he was still there bright eyed and bushy tailed still cracking jokes. I will never forget this hotel and that mexican restaurant. May 7, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poorly managed We got there 30 min early and weren't allowed to us check in. Came back 1 1/2 hours later, check in, go to our room and it hasn't been cleaned yet. So after another 30 min with a screaming baby they put us in an entirely different room. Then some kids had a party for about an hour in the next room over and not much was done. We did not enjoy our stay and will not be returning. No discounts or anything was offered for all our trouble. Could be a nice hotel but seems to be poorly managed. May 4, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not a bad place to stay When I'm traveling in new places, Holiday Inn Expresses are one of the first hotels I look for due to the fact that I haven't had a bad experience in them. The value one gets for money spent isn't necessarily the best, but I feel like it is worth it to pay a few extra dollars to not have to worry about the quality of lodging. That being said, this hotel met these expectations of mine. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was decent. Room noise was almost nonexistent and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again if I find myself back in Las Cruces. April 17, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Hotel, Wonderful Staff We lucked out and booked a room at this hotel, We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. We walked in and the hotel smelled very clean, the front desk clerk was busy but he got to us rather quickly. The smile never left his face as he was clearly overwhelmed with guests. He took time with every single one to answer any questions or recommend dinner. He was gracious enough to even print out directions for us, even with a line behind us. We got to the room and it was far more than what we had expected. Quiet, Clean, and Comfortable. The breakfast the next day was very nice, and so were the attendants. We loved our stay that we even extended for another night. April 16, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast lacking The room was great. I was shocked at the breakfast. I could not find a microwave to heat up my bagel so it was not very good. I walked into the dining area about 30 minutes before closing and the employee was already taking things up. I would have thought that they would not clean up until the 9:30 closing time. Might have had a better selection if I showed up when it first opened. April 12, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AC broken About 9pm the air conditioner starts to blows warm air for a while then in the middle of the night it completely goes out. I call the front desk to report it, the lady says nothing except that she will put in a work order for it and that's it. She did not offer to move us or lower the cost of our room. We were so upset but tried to just go to sleep with the window open. It is in the middle of the desert and it is warm outside so there was no real relief. When we get up at 6 am there is a envelope under the door with our receipt of payment. No note saying sorry for the inconvenience or anything. When we check out at the front desk that morning, we mention the problem to the desk clerk and he says he will look in the log book to see if the call was reported. He looks, then says, yes it was reported, and that is it. No apologies not empathy nothing. We tell him that we thought that it was rude that not 1 person cared about the situation and he shrugged his shoulders and said.... "well we are sorry" and that was it. We will never stay at this location ever again when we travel though Las Cruces. We will stay at a different hotel. We have stayed at many HI locations and this is the rudest and most uncaring hotels of this brand. March 28, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel, helpful staff I have stayed in plenty of Holiday Inns and Expresses and while they are all good hotels this one is the one that stands out. We were in town for a funeral and the morning clerk made us feel right at home. He would joke around with us to lift our spirits, He would periodically ask if we were behaving. Which we replied no. He was such a joy to be around and he also loved to talk. The hotel was very nice and really clean. We will be back. February 25, 2013

The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. We asked for restaurant recommendations and abraham recommended an excellent mexican food restaurant and i have to tell you i'm still full! However, we were in Room 219 which is right next to the elevator which was used all night long and made a great grinding noise right next to our heads. I would certainly stay at this facility again but NOT in Room 219. Suggest you convert it to a hospitality suite and not think people could possibly sleep well there. February 7, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Staff Experience When I walked into this hotel, 2 front desk workers were talking with one another. One came over to help me, speaking in a VERY loud voice and quite rudely. When I indicated I had a reservation, he found the paperwork and threw it on the counter, again using his rude voice to ask me to initial and sign it. He did ask if I was a Priority Club member and gave me a gift bag (though not the usual Priority Club bag--a white lunch bag stapled at the top). The usual bottle of water was in the bag along with 1 packet of hot chocolate mix and 2 packets of Sweet and Low. REALLY? These were obviously from the breakfast bar. In coming and going by the front desk, the workers never spoke to us, as is common in all other Holiday Inns and Expresses in which I've stayed. No fruit on the breakfast bar--not even a banana. Upon leaving, a different front desk worker was listening to his ipod and did not acknowledge my departure. I don't know how this hotel has earned 4 stars in the past--I will NEVER stay here again in my travels through Las Cruces. January 17, 2013
