Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hard to breath We have been traveling from Texas to San Diego, up to northern CA and are on our way home. We always stay at Holiday Inn Express but this was the worst. I could not breath from whatever they use in the carpets to cover up odors, both beds were broke down terribly, so sleeping was next to impossible. The lady at the desk was very kind and offer to move us to another room but after 12 hours driving and both of us are in frail health, that was not an appealing idea. I do not reccomend the hotel and now I am very skeptical of these hotels. I also mentioned at checkin that I would like to pay cash, when I went down to the desk at 11 pm, 130am, 230am nmy card had already been run and therefore could not pay for my room the way I had asked. My money was in my luggage and I was told that cards don't get run til 3-4 am. Very dissapointed prority club member. Also we did not get our reward points for the stay and military discount was higher than actual room cost. What Gives??? all rooms close at midnight, fitness center. October 9, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vacation at Holiday Inn Have stayed with them before. Quality of food has declined, cookies were overbaked. They shut the card access to the hotel ahead of stated time without telling anybody. The overall quality has declined. Looking at the bill, it appears that they did not give credit for AARP. Nor did they ask when checking in. October 3, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never again! Worst HIX I have ever stayed in. I was moved to four different rooms. Upon arrival, I was not given a king sized bed despite having requested one. Then I was moved three more times over the next hours since none had adequate AC! In addition, I left my information for "Zenina" after my stay and was never called back. The pool was also cloudy. I would never stay at this property again. On top of it all, the area is terrible. September 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good work area in room Had plenty of room for laptop and paperwork. Internet speed was good. Had good sleep. Room and outside was quiet. Able to see vehicle from room which had equipment in the back. Breakfast selection was good. Would prefer straight eggs without the cheese next time. Overall good experience, similar as to other Holiday Inn hotels I have stayed in. September 25, 2015
