Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel off the strip We found this hotel out of desperation a few years ago when we ended up at a terrible hotel booked by someone else. We were delighted with our first stay so it led us to book again when returning to the area. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is great if you don't want the chaos of a casino hotel on the strip. It's far enough away to avoid the madness, but right next to a major interstate so anywhere you want to go is easy to get to. October 1, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location The Bed was really good! The rooms were non-smoking and that is a real plus for the Las Vegas area. It was convenient to the freeway, but not close enough for the freeway noise. As a rewards club member there was no option for adjoining rooms, which was a disappointment, but we survived! I would consider this Holiday Inn if the need for this location in Las Vegas was required again. September 21, 2014

It is close enough to downtown if you need to run up to see the sights, but just far enough away, with easy access to the airport. The staff is always friendly and the cinnamon rolls are hot! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Stay when family crisis hits We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites right down the road from the hospital my brother-in-law was in. He had a stroke and heart attack. We drove all the way from South Carolina to Las Vegas in two days. We got there and was so exhausted. We went to hospital to discover he was being released that night. We got a room at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites. We all had such a wonderful rest on your clean and comfortable beds. In the morning, we all ate the breakfast and it was extremely delicious. The pancakes were to die for. The staff was so helpful to us in finding information to help close my brother-in-laws affairs there. They went above and beyond their jobs. They helped me so much. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the whole experience. I will stay at your hotel any time I need one. I will recommend to all my family and friends your hotel for their next vacation. I was asked at the desk if I wanted a wake-up call. The room was quiet, and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever enjoyed at a hotel. September 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff We were greeted with friendly smiles when we arrived. This young man Kevin, at the registration desk, was so friendly and professional. He acknowledged my IHG member status and offered two nice rooms. The rooms were clean, however one room the AC was turned off. It did not take long to cool down. There is no exhaust in the bathroom, so it will get damped and hot when taking a shower. The breakfast area was clean and there was sufficient food choices. Keep in mind, this is good for on the go, not a big buffet. Housekeeping staff greet you in the hallway or anywhere in the facility. Very Professional. At check out Kevin was there again with a friendly smile and thanked us for staying. September 3, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay except for staff Overall, I had a good stay despite being given a room with a view of a block wall about five feet away. I used my reward points for the stay. Everything was fine until 9:30 a.m. the next morning. My wife and I awoke very tired to the sound of metal banging loudly on our hotel room door followed by a woman stating, "Room service!" We quickly told her to go away. Five minutes later, the exact same thing happened by the same person. This occurred 1.5 hours before checkout time. When I eventually left the room, I contacted employee Michael near the front desk. I explained what occurred. He apologized and added that I should have placed the "Do not disturb" sign outside the door. I guess it was my fault. He ended by half-heartedly (my take) telling me he would address the problem.When I checked out at 11:00 a.m., there was no mention by Michael of what had occurred or what corrective action was taken. The room (108) had a couple of noticeable problems: a loose bathroom sink faucet and a poorly installed shower curtain rod causing the curtain to hang in front of the control knobs. August 26, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Night's Sleep The air conditioner in this room sounded like it had a squeeking fan belt. The AC unit was noisy when running, and just before it shut off, would squeel loudly. There is no way anyone could sleep through that. Breakfast breads were dry; otherwise the selection was good. No perks for IHG rewards. Reservation was made for four, but had to ask for enough towels. August 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Reward Gold Member means "NOTHING" When I booked over the phone I was never told " Although every effort is made to give you the room type of your choice, when a standard room is booked the preference for this room would be allocated on arrival and cannot be guaranteed. The room could be a smoking or a non smoking room, a twin or a double bedded room or an accessible room". If the booking agent would of said even something similar to what your response was I would never booked with Holiday Inn Express. I gave Kevin (front desk) more than enough time to resolve this issue with no satisfactory resolution. The service I received is not what I was expected, my son had to sleep in chair!!! Really!!!! I had never, ever had so much frustration in one of your Hotels.!! As for the hotel manager, Kevin told me that I would get a call from him me the next morning, call that I have not received yet!!!! This hotel is the closest to Spring Valley Hospital, where I was looking after a relative. The hotel staff made a difficult visit so much more pleasant. Thank you to all! August 24, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst experience at a Holiday Inn I stay at Holiday inn for a consistent quality. This location is the worst location I have ever stayed at. Our AC did not work properly and never cooled the room off at all. The hallway was cooler than our room. In the morning when I brought it up to the front desk the gentleman says "what did you have the AC set at?" I said the setting you had it set at for 2 hours. Then I turned it down when it wasn't cooling off. He says "ya these units freeze up if you turn them down to low". This is the worst servide IMHO. No sorry and tries to blame me Also, I find it interesting they do not offer a military discount unless you are on current orders. I stay at hotels all across the US and have never been told this. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by room not cleaned between nights and over charged I was not pleased with the service. The room was not cleaned or touched during the two nights there. The room booked at the front desk for the following week was booked by the clerk in error for two weeks later. When tried to register for the second stay was told the booking was for the next week therefore I would have to pay almost double the rate because the Hotel was completely booked up but he could find a room for me at double the rate quoted when the room was booked. The manager on Sat. July 26 was absolutely no help in trying to solve the problem other than to say the hotel was totally sold out but he could get me a room at double the previously quoted rate. Tried to get change at the front desk in the early evening to use the vending machine. Told to go across the six lane street in front of the hotel as see if a store across the street could help me. Over all I was not please with the service. I have stayed at many hotel is my long life and this was one of the worst as far as service received. July 27, 2014
