A conference room reservation was made for the evening of April 24th, having also requested an overhead projector. I was informed by the hotel staff this would be no problem, and there was zero mention of a fee for using this room. It's also noteworthy that the hotel information booklet in my room lists the conference room as one of its features, but does not indicate it comes at a premium. Due to a co-worker flight delay, we were unable to have the meeting on the evening of April 24th. I went to the front desk hours before our scheduled meeting to inform them of this, and to request we move it to the morning of April 25th. They didn't seem to want to give me an answer at that time, and I was told they would call me shortly. When they finally did call my room, I was told the conference room was available the next morning but at a charge of $150. Front desk staff told me they "forgot" to discuss price when the orginal reservation was made. I chose not to use HIE's conference room, and we were able to have the meeting elsewhere. Based on the conference room's appearance, I failed to see the value in the $150 charge, and cannot figure out where they came up with that number. I thought this situation was handled very poorly by the staff.

This hotel was chosen as it was near Spring Valley Hospital where my daughter was hospitalised.
We stayed for 11 nights in the end as my daughter had to be well enough to fly back to the U.K.
The hotel was perfect for her to recuperate, calm, quiet & peaceful & we were able to have an accessible room for her wheel chair.
The staff were professional, helpful, friendly & very kind. They helped make a difficult time much easier.
I was very far from home but they made me feel welcome, safe & gave me a friendly ear when I had issues to sort out with regard to my daughter's care.

This was my second time I've stayed here. It's comfortable, good service, quiet, and good value for budgeted trips. The only difference I noticed was that the complimentary brewed coffee in the breakfast area was more watered down than last year's experience. Perhaps, that can be improved? Otherwise, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

We live in Arizona. This was a great hotel all around. Since we are military, my husbands homecoming day changed many times before the final arrival. This hotel gave me the comfort while I was waiting. I was able to get some shopping done while still being close to the airport. The staff was very friendly and everything was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay by the airport. It is even close to the casinos if someone wanted to visit them. When in the hotel, you don't even notice that you are near an airport.

GREAT HIE! Great staff, great place to stay! this is why I stay at HIE! Grover Beach HIE in Pismo Calif could take some schooling from this place, it was like 2 different worlds, the 2 little lady's serving breakfast, priceless...

The property is way off the Strip, but that's not all bad. It's away from the hussle/bussle of the big city lights, and that's what we wanted. Getting a taxi ride can be expensive, but the real comforts are here. Quiet. There is a storage facility in the back of the property, so no car doors slamming or any noise. Ask for a room on the back side of property.
They do not have a laundry room, that was a down side, but we had a good bed, and cable tv, so we were good.
Shower was good. Ice machine/snacks just down the hall by the elevators.
We left early in the morning, and were not able to enjoy breakfast.
They had a nice bag of goodies for Priority Club Members.
I would stay here again when traveling to Las Vegas.

We were worried about going to las vegas with kids who have severe allergies to cig. Smoke. This hotel was exceptional. Starting with Josh and Mark at the front desk. They were so helpful, and kind. These gentleman eased my mind right from the get go. We were able to plan our nights and transportation to Ceasers palace for the Celine Dion show and for Shania Twains show. We got to know Rainbow Blvd really well.. Tropicana and Sahara both go from Rainbow down to the strip. The hotel is a well kept secret taxi drivers didnt know where it was located. Our rooms were so clean, staff do a great job. We had three different suites on three different floors for four nights. Each suite was cleaned and refreshed for us. I felt bad the outdoor pool was so cold, kids couldnt enjoy it. But sleeping well made it so we could keep going and enjoy every minute of our holiday. Next time we will rent a car instead ofmusing taxis.

i love staying at this location because it is close enough to all the entertainment in Las Vegas, but far enough off the strip to get a quiet, restful night's sleep. I have stayed here 3 times, and it is a well-maintained property with clean rooms and a nice area for FREE breakfast. The cinnamon rolls are delicious, but I wish the breakfast selection included more fruit and healthy choices.

I usually stay here because it is away from all the strip and casino traffic, good food close by. Most of the staff is great and it is usally very quite. Only thing they could improve is to update the desk chairs and get bigger pillows

Overall, the site is okay, compared to other HI sites. The staff was pleasant and friendly.
However, there were 2 problems that were not appreciated by a business person, like myself:
1) Breakfast area choices were lacking. I try to eat a healthier breakfast and prefer plain instant oatmeal. Both mornings, all they had were 3 packets (that was it) of brown sugar oatmeal, loaded with sugar. Sounds like a minor thing, but compared to alot of the other choices offered, it's the best. I've noticed that other HI's have this same problem, which leads me to believe that this is a popular choice that should be planned for. The Breakfast person, indicated she forgot to tell the front desk to order it. How difficult is this. On both mornings, other issues included the pancake machine was broken....the Breakfast person had to help people and even then, it took forever and only allowed one pancake at a time. 2) Internet service was not available the morning I checked out. Couldn't do work I was planning on doing. Personally, I think it was cut off because I was checking out.

Little things: no USA Today & no lotion
no lotion in room--when checking out staff person said, no, lotion, cost cutting as well as no USA today, but did have the local Las Vegas paper--was flying out--wanted USA news--so, 7-11 down the street had one-- The guy did offer lotion as I inquired but was leaving--to little to late-
breakfast--not really a complaint--just love the gravy at everyother H/Inn Express and this one didn't have it--I asked the lady in the breakfast if she " had gravey today" she said, no and walked off.
to bad, I always tip the breakfast room help at least $5, often $10--she got nothing.
I will continue to stay in Holiday Inn express as I travel every other week, but not at this one.

We only stayed one night but we were very comfortable, and the proximity to everything "Las Vegas" was very convenient! We were so close to the airport in fact that there were a few flights taking off over the hotel, but we did not find this to be a problem, There is a huge shopping mall and restaurants about 10 min. down the road on the Boulevard so off strip dining is a great option to some of the pricey restaurants on the strip! The front desk staff was very accomodating and helpful when I requested a "possible" extra night in case our flight to Boston during the recent blizzard was cancelled. We flew home on schedule! Thanx to everyone for a great visit to Las Vegas! We will return!!

Good value for the price. Slightly far from the strip ($25-$30 by cab). Breakfast choces could be broader, but this is me - I would like to see more sugar-free granolas and less refined food in general, so there was not much for me to choose from, however good selection for my companions who did not care about organic food. Room was clean, quiet, fresh and tidy. Non-smoking room was REALLY a NON-SMOKING room, which I liked alot. Bathrooms were always super clean.
Never even had a chance to explore pool or gym or anything else (was on a conference in Vegas), however overall impression of the hotel and service staff is great - I like stay in not-so-noisy places, and this was just it. Staff was friendly and attentive, courteous and just great to deal with. All paperwork was done on time, no delays with any requests. Liked it, will stay again when we are in Vegas for work.

This Property is in a good location to take care of business or just relax due to how quiet it is overall!
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, as well as accommodating when dealing with how to get around Las Vegas.
Local transportation is available with a Local Bus Stop just 50 yards away from the hotel.

Building looks like new. Staff is very friendly. Close to major highways, shopping, stores, food, and 15 minutes from the strip. Beautifully located in a valley. Hills in distance on both sides. Views of the strip during the day and at night. Rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable, like new.

The staff is does not value a guest. It starts with the breakfast person, Gladys, If you are earlier than 6:30 a.m, she will make rude comments about the service time so don't try to grab and go a bite. If you say good moring to her, you do not get a reply. The desk staff is about the same so I'm sure it starts with the G.M.
If you like airplanes flying low over your room all night, this is the place for you!
For the cost per night, many better places in the area!

Staff was pleasant but it appeared that the bathroom had not been given a very good cleaning. Floor had not been swept or mopped. Gross!
Noisy in the early AM from departing planes.
Not likely to be staying there again.

My wife and I were traveling and suffered a mechanical break down on her Motorcycle. While waiting for the tow truck I did some quick research on hotels near the dealership we were being towed to and called Holiday Inn Express on Rainbow Blvd to reserve a room. The phone reservation process was quick, painless and efficient. I had no difficulty getting a room that met our needs.
Check in was fast and w/o surprises. Staff was courteous and allowed us to park our motorcycles under the lit awning in front of the hotel, providing us with a more secure feeling.
The king bed room was spacious and comfortable, which was much needed at the end of a long day that got more stressful at the end due to the breakdown.
All in all, a nice experience, despite the circumstances surrounding our unexpected stay in Las Vegas.

The Holiday Inn Express close to I-215 S. Beltway in Las Vegas was an excellent choice for us. It offered us the peace and quiet needed for a medical treatment closeby, with all the basics covered in the property. While it does not have a its own restaurant on site, there are sufficient good options just across the street. The pub located in front of the hotel did not cause any noise at all, which was one of our initial concerns. Access is easy from the beltway, there are some shopping options nearby, and the rate offered was very good. The staff was excellent, accomodating our special requests with great attitude. The hotel manager himself, and the front desk staff were very helpful at all times, and made us "feel at home" while travelling. The two ladies tending the cafeteria in the mornings are real sweethearts. I can highly recommend this hotel to anybody wanting a nice, clean, quiet and well located hotel away from the Las Vegas strip. The small pool was clean and well maintained, and while the water was very cold, the hot tub beside the pool was at the right temperature for an enjoyable dip. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Tho thumbs up!!!

Being from Nevada, it is refreshing to go to an Inn with no gaming. This is a newer, quality built, clean, quiet, well run property with attentive staff. As with all Holiday Inn Expresses, the free breakfast is industrial standard and rather boring. It has easy access to the freeway system, a nice sports bar and restaurant across the parking lot and easy access. Most refreshingly, unlike the nearby casinos, it does not smell of smoke. I'd stay here again.

An excellent stay. Only stayed one night but from check in to departure everything was perfect. Greeted as a rewards club member upon arrival. Room was nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great. I don't like all the glitz and hype of the Strip. This hotel was easy to get to, relaxing, and I would recommend it to anyone. In my book you get way more for your money than you do on the Strip.

I know most people come to Las Vegas to stay on the Strip. We came to visit family that are only a coiuple of miles away in Spring Valley and a cousin in Henderson. This was an excellent place to be close to the family in Spring Valley. Not have the hustle and bustle of the strip and have easy access to the interstate to travel to Henderson. Excellent staff. Greated us as we came in every evening and as we left every morning. Excellent job to the cleaning staff! A clean room is a well rested room. Thank you for you great work. It was the best nights of sleep we had on our trip all the way from a road trip from Indiana. Accomdations were exactly what we reserved and no issues. Out of the several Holiday Inns we stayed at over a 2 week period this one ranked in our top 5. Great Job!! Thank YOU!

Overall it was a good stay. The hotel location is right off the highway with shops and restaurants nearby. The room was large with a cozy bed and modern furniture. Staff was friendly and the check in process was smooth.
