They were knowledgeable of the area and helpful with regards on the easiest way to get to our point of destinations, like Red Rock National Park, In N Out, Red Lobster, etc. The woman that manned the breakfast area during our weekend stay was quick and efficient. She kept everything well stocked and the area neat and clean. The courtesy shuttle to the casino, was a godsend. It allow us to enjoy going to The Strip without having to fight for a parking spot. Then there was the view of distant lights of Vegas at night from the parking lot. That was truly a very pleasant surprise. June 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Climb Down from the Ledge The review title relates to the fact that Southwest Airlines managed to lose my suitcase on a trip from Phoenix to Las Vegas. When I left the airport and drove to the HI Express South, there was a lot rambling through my brain and I was very upset at misplacing of my suitcase that contained my tablets as meds. The Front Desk Clerk Sayra could see my irritation and immediately went to work to get me to climb down off the ledge. Since I had no control over the situation, she convinced me that she was there to help. For a young lady, she was perceptive and helped to lighten my burden. She was also friendly, courteous and professional. She deserves a huge pat on the back.. When I got to the room, it had a comfortable bed and pillows and access to the internet for my Kindle so I could read to relax. After I took my party to dinner, Sayra offered the necessities I needed that were in my delayed suitcase. When I got back to the room, I had the most wonderful, strong hot shower that relaxed me further. When I got out of the showere, there was an email stating the airline found my bag. When it finally arrived at 2:15 AM, Matt, the night clerk was kind to bring it up to me. This was the wonderful service I enjoyed as your HI employees went above and beyond to be helpful and it was greatly appreciated. The only stumble on this stay was the breakfast buffet. The scrambled eggs were burnt and very dry as was the sausage patty. The OJ was watered down and very weak, Other than that, I recommend a stay at this hotel and I will be back again in the future. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ok for business Staff is very friendly. Hotel for the most part is clean. The fitness center is not very good. They need to update their equipment. Pool was completely vacant when I used it. Very nice. Breakfast was OK for free but could use some more hot items. Internet connection was excellent. Overall, pretty good hotel to stay at if you don't want to be on the Strip and are visiting Vegas for business. June 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Taking care of early arrival My major concern to arrive early and attend the graduation that started at 1.00 was taken care of. The front desk lady offered some cold water bottles and tea, coffee. She helped me get to local store to get the graduation balloons etc. We were able to get the room after a little wait and get ready and attend graduation. Overall, the staff was very attentive to my needs and gave me a very good service. June 2, 2014

IT MAKES TRAVELING SO MUCH NICER TO HAVE THAT AMENITY. Oh well, now I have to start looking for a new hotel chain that considers the customer over revenue. so sad! May 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent hotel for location off the Strip Decent hotel location just off the Strip and Interstate. Friendly hotel staff and ok room. A little disappointed that the title of the room was queen suite and it was a basic double queen room. Great parking lot, especially for trailers and large vehicles. Convenient shuttle service to the Strip every 30 minutes and hour. Clean room and breakfast area. Breakfast did lack the normal level of Holiday Inn Express satisfaction. May 22, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 staff at the front desk did not welcome me as a Platinum member, did not sorry after i identify myself us platinum the desk attendant make the same twist, i book for second time and i notice he did not put the hotel points on my account. his name is Justin, fist check in was on wednesday 14MAY14 at 5:00 PM, the second time was Justin on the desk again, and he did not check on my reservation and checking in me as passing by customer, i feel like i been demoted, not even the respect i deserved as a loyal customer with IHG i am. Many rooms but only two luggage carts; careworn halls; somewhat shabby and very dim rooms; so little insulation between rooms that I could hear every word an adjoining customer spoke during a phone call. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good front desk; thin windows; chaotic breakfast Check-in and -out were very fast and professional. The room -- I could hear loud airplanes through the thin windows. Also, a semi truck parked outside of my room idled for a very long time at 2 a.m., and I heard the whole thing. But it was clean. Breakfast was crazy. Apparently the attendant had overslept, which she told every customer who asked for more coffee, eggs, etc. (which they had to do because these items had run out and had not been addressed for a very long time). Overall, it was an OK stay. I would stay here again only if I had a room on a high floor, facing the street (away from the airport). April 16, 2014

Its relatively near to the strip and provides drop off service to Mandalay Bay and airport. For IHG members, do not expect the recognition that you are used to. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Las Vegas -- South I am a Platinum Level Member with IHG and I have stayed at this location many times over the last 3 years and have had no problems with this property till now. Upon reserving several nights at this location i had to cancel them 1 to 2 days after i made them but prior to my arrival time. Upon receiving my credit card statement i noticed that this hotel charged me for the entire stay. When i called the hotel to clairify why they charged me for the stay they stated that i did not show up for my reservation and that I did not cancel them either, Once i gave them my cancellation info they refunded me what appeared to be the full amount. Upon noticing a price difference from my cancellation and the actual charges i inquired with ihg why there was a price difference. IHG stated that they would look in to it. Within 15 minutes of hanging up with IHG i received a call from an employee named Nick at this property who was very rude, accusatory, making accusations that i was trying to steal money from him and the hotel, being defensive and being very unprofessional and stated that HE refunded ALL the charges. In addition Nick would not quit talking long enough or did not inquire of what I was talking about. This type of behavior from an employee is not rite and in addition he should not talk to or act in this manner to a staff or a quest in that manner. March 12, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Truck Parking It is easy to find, right off freeway and easy on, gas station across street. The only draw back is there is no place to eat close, There is not very much room for truck parking, we walk about a mile to the closest place to eat which is the Mandala Bay not cheap. I would definitely give it a 5 star if it was not for the two things. March 7, 2014
