Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TV cable connection was defective Our TV set kept going out. The front desk told us to push the reset button in the back of the set. This only worked for the first time. Shortly afterwards it went out again. We kept pushing the reset button, no result. We then turned the set off and on , no result. Finally the receptionist came to our room. She discovered that the cable connection on the wall was defective. She manipulated it to work. The TV worked for the rest of our stay. August 20, 2014

I continue to use Holiday Inn Express Hotels because they are consistently a good value whether on business or leisure travel. August 20, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor service from hotel staff I was very disappointed in the service from the Las Vegas NM Holiday Inn Express on July 24, 2014. As we checked into our non-smoking rooms, it was clear that the 2 rooms had been smoked in recently. I called the front desk to tell the clerk about the strong smoke smell in both rooms and that I did not want to be fined for smoking since we did not smoke and wanted non smoking rooms. I was told that it would be noted and our room rate would be discounted because we did not want rooms with smoke smell. The bills the next morning did not reflect this adjustment and so upon checking out the next morning I again mentioned this to the front desk clerk who was different than the previous clerk. I especially did not want to be charged for smoking in the rooms since we do not smoke. The clerk said the manager would call me when she arrived and adjust the room rate. I never received any call from the manager or any adjustment to the room rate. I was very disappointed because two clerks told me something and did not follow through. We generally stay at Holiday Inn Express on any trips and this was not the usual treatment we have received. August 11, 2014

We usually stay in Taos NM but no Holiday Inns there; this is probably closest unless you want Santa Fe, but this one is definitely worth staying; the drive to Taos from here is beautiful in summer.
