We were looking for a place to stay with our dog on the road from Florida to upstate NY and are SO glad we found this gem of a hotel! Lovely little park right behind the property to stretch our legs and walk along the river, lots of great places to get a bite to eat within easy walking distance. Free WiFi and good selection at the complimentary breakfast. The room was lovely, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff at the front desk couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I have to admit I wasn't expecting a whole lot from a Holiday Inn Express, but this hotel really wowed us... it's a GREAT place to stay!

I've stayed at this hotel at least a half-dozen times over the past few months and have noticed a recurring trend. While the rooms are very nice and the staff are quite helpful and friendly, I've noticed that when certain female desk staff are working there is almost always a number of non-guests (mostly males) who just seem to be hanging out in the lobby and socializing/distracting the staff. This seems to occur mostly during late afternoon and evening hours. Last week as I was walking through the lobby, two guys (obviously not guests) were shouting at each other and seemed on the verge of getting into a fight. It made me extremely uncomfortable.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during 4th of July weekend and we were very disappointed when we came back to the hotel on the evening of July 6th to find no parking places b/c of the festivities behind the hotel. We were given a parking pass b/c cars without one weren't supposed to park there to allow hotel customers parking. Well that didn't happen even with a policeman parked up front and the lot being taped off.
Also, we called the cleaning service for the sofa bed to have clean sheets as they appeared to have not been changed and had hair on them. They did clean the room but again failed to clean the sofa bed.

This place was insanely busy during my stay. There was bus loads of kids running up and down the floors at all hours of the night and banging on the doors. Lastly, the location of our room was near the elevator, where you could easily hear the elevator operating 24/7. Otherwise I think without all the noise from this group and the constant elevator usage I would say this place is a nice place to stay. There was limited space in the breakfast area.
The breakfast area was good, along with the pool area was clean and easily accessible. Everyone was very friendly.

We enjoyed our visit, hotel staff very nice, room was comfortable, breakfast very good and plentiful, great location - issue with hours of pool, big disappointment that could not use during the day

On checking in, the staff didn't seem to know how to do things. I had made a reservation for another person in my name and the desk receptionist couldn't seem to transfer the reservation and priority club points to his account.
On checking out, the bill presented was not what we had agreed on at check in.

This is the nicest HDI Express I have stayed in. It is clean and modern - does not look old and redone, but everything has a modern and totally new feel. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Laurel Lakes was a great experience. The staff was very friendly just like family, the shuttle to the Greenbelt metro was a Plus, I`m glad he was driving traffic in the area is crazy! Our room was so comfortable the bed was huge, and after a day of walking around DC it sure felt good!
Restaurants are within walking distance, the hotel is quiet too there was a group of 8th graders on a trip-we didn`t hear a thing.
The breakfast area is large enough to fit families, with a large selection of food. All in all I would go back again!

The noise was so loud you could not get any sleep. Kids came and took over the hotel. It took two calls late at night to the front desk before they tried to get thing under control. Other guess were also complaining in the morning at breakfast. They did give me a 15% discount.

I would have rated this hotel well, however, I have spent over 2 weeks trying to have management answer a question regarding the mattresses at this hotel. (The mattress was very comfortable) I have not been able to get a response from either the hotel manager or customer service for Holiday Inn Express. I will not be a repeat customer. If they cannot handle a postive request, I fear how poorly a negative issue would be handled by them.

I choose to stay at this hotel because it's located close to my work, the rooms are comfortable and breakfasts are excellent. The only item I'd like to see resolved for my future visits is the repair of the jacuzzi, it was not available for the 2 weeks I was there. I'm not sure why a life guard was always posted, but that deterred me from using the pool in the evenings. It may be a local requirement, but all Holiday Inns I've visited were okay with a person being responsible for their activities in the pool. ( I enjoy swimming laps by myself)

I stayed at this hotel for 20+ nights over several weeks. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the water pressure was strong. The entire hotel was recently remodeled and in good condition. The breakfast had both hot and cold items. They gave me a great rate upon asking. Close to shopping and restaurants.
The bathrooms were small but clean and new. The only downside I experienced was TV reception on several nights. No Signal for major TV network stations.
All in all a great hotel and a great value. I would stay here again.

We were there 4 nights and if I am ever in that area this is the place I would stay. The front desk employees are outstanding one paticular person his name is Wayne went way beyond his job to make our stay great, he is such a wonderful person and may God Bless Him daily

I usually never take the time to fill out these email surveys, but after experiencing the accommodations and pleasant welcoming by the staff, I felt it only necessary to express my sincere "thank you" and appreciation for making my stay as enjoyable as ever.
The moment I walked through the door I was greeted with the biggest smile and adorable sense of humor I've experienced in quite some time. My profession requires me to travel quite a bit, which in turn, requires overnight stays. I've stayed at some of the most prestigious hotels in America, which often comes with a prestigious expense. Your facility was fantastic! In fact, a big surprise!!! I didn't expect the luxury accommodations for the price.
More importantly, your entire staff was wonderful. (Kasthelin at the front desk) was such a delight to speak with -- seemed like we knew each other for years and I should include her on my Christmas card list. The crew who kept the morning breakfast bar stocked and pristine was better than any 5 star restaurant. Kudos to everyone!!!! I have shared and expressed this very same experience with my family around the dinner table.
Your hotel, staff, and exceptional service was a topic of conversation and I look forward to seeing your staff again soon,.

Being a business traveler, a clean comfortable hotel with a fully functional business center is important. I found the home met my expectations except for the business center. The computer lacked the ability to open Excel and PDF documents.

Enjoyed my stay with my daughter. We stay alot in hotel due to traveling with a cheer team. The gentleman at the front was very helpful and nice. The guy in the pool room was too even though the heater was broke in the pool, the gentleman was very appoligetic and nice. Nice breakfast!!

The sofa bed was defective and very uncomfortable. Sleeping on it was very uncomfortable for my daughters who did not get good nights sleep as the result. Had to use available cushions to level the bed as best we could.
The service was overall great. Staff was professional and very courteous. We did experience the maid service did not clean coffee pot and leave coffee supply's but the staff did bring up coffee when I called. I was disappointed that my newspaper was delivered only on the first night only. After discussing with manager I still had to call the front desk again to have newspaper delivered.

Was not greeted warmly. As a priority club member, other Holiday Inn Expresses have always thanked me for my business and given me a small gift. No recognition here other than that they had my number. TV didn't have reception of all channels and was told there was nothing they could do.

Our room was very clean and the hotel has been updated. The bathroom was very small for a family of 4 to try and get ready in the morning. The room safe did not work so a hotel repairman came and fixed it promptly. The pool was very very cloudy and also had to say something about that. We didn't go see if it got fixed or not. We stayed there because we were going to Washington, DC. Only about a 5-10 min drive to the Greenbelt Metro line. The first day we used the free hotel shuttle service. No problem getting there in the morning, but we waited an hour for it to pick us up and that was after we told them what time we would be ready. The rest of the week we chose to drive ourselves to the metro so we could come and go as we wanted. Very nice staff and great breakfast.

The room I was provided was adjacent to the elevator, the hotel was no where near capacity. the room was noisy and made it very hard to relax.
The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and the hotel lobby was clean and welcoming
The breakfast food was warm at best and had little to no flavor.
Overall this location would rate as average at best compared to other properties in the SE and mid Atlantic

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Holiday Inn. I was given a room right next to the elevator on a floor with a very noisy sports team. I got very little sleep and had to catch an early morning flight. Too early, in fact, to even enjoy the breakfast which did not open until seven on Saturday morning. There was actually some underwear on the elevator floor and no one was at the Front Desk in the morning when I went to check out. That it was close to the airport is the only positive thing I can say about it.

This hotel had very few of the things I value as a business traveler. The wi-fi was just barely strong enough to link to and not strong enough to even open a webpage. Most of the TV channels didn't work including many of the major networks. And the maid service came into my room at 8am while I was showering. I'll never stay here again. There are other places to stay nearby, choose those.

Overall the stay was very enjoyable. The only issue I had was that the property was in the process of changing cable providers and there wewre only like 3 channels avaialble. That was a little disappointing! I would have liked to know that prior to my stay.

I have been using this location for over 1year, since Holiday Inn has taken over the quality has been great. I still see a few items in the room that need improvement but the overall comfort of the hotel is excellent.
The staff is amazing and I always have a warm and pleasant stay with dealing with everyone.
