When we visit Lawrence and have to book a hotel, the Holiday Inn Express is the first hotel we call . Great service, clean rooms, quiet and convenient to eateries and shopping. Staff are very helpful and cordial. The morning breakfast is awesome. The breakfast person is very helpful and very nice.

This place has several things going for it. Nice location, pretty new facility, comfortable and quiet. Near to quite a few restaurants. At checkin they did recognize me as a Platinum member. Evidently they don't upgrade rooms. No mention was made of it and when I arrived at my room it was 2 double beds. Not a huge problem but it seems like they could mention it if there is nothing available at checkin. Otherwise, I have to just assume they won't upgrade. I may stay here again but as I was recently assigned to regularly work in Kansas I'll probably at least try out other locations around Lawrence that seem to value the business.

If you are bringing your child to college or visiting them, this is the perfect property. It is close to everything you need to set up,a dorm or an apartment. It is clean, comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Lawrence!

We stayed two nights; I thought the maids were supposed to make your beds each day. Ours wasn't, therefore we were disappointed.
There also needs to be a rule established for other guests not to make noise down the halls disrupting others. Plus you here the front door open/close constantly.
Other than these two things, the stay was great. I would stay there again.

The room was great--clean, neat, and provided a warm ambiance. The bed was very comfortable and provided a great night sleep. The desk was very helpful providing a welcome attitude as well as a quick check in experience.

The property and its surroundings are well taken care of and situated to address the needs and interest of those who take advantage of the opportunity to spend time there. The staff is hospitable, cordial and strives to accomodate those who are in its environs. If you stay just once, this location will have a place on your special list of sites to stop and spend some time.

The stay was excellent. I have never had a bad stay at this hotel. I recommend this Holiday Inn Express to all my friends who have to stay in Lawrence.
