Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD HOLIDAY INN First & foremost, the hotel is clean and the room was clean...cleaning staff is very thorough which is most important to me. Stayed one night on biz trip...greeted me as a Priority Club member......convenient location....but when I arrived, i walked by two hotel employees sitting out front smoking. They both greeted me as I walked past them and through the front door. When I got to the front desk, i was greeted by a young lady who explained that the ladies that need to check me in are outside smoking..."they should be in any minute" she told me...I looked at her in disbelief, as I had just driven 300+miles and I was anxious to get to my room. After getting settled in, I realized the WIFI was not working, so i called the front desk...the response I received was astonishing: "Yes, I know, the WIFI always goes down when we have a full house, sorry." She then told me that if the problem persists, to call the 800# of the WIFI company....I asked what that was going to do if she knows the WIFI goes out all the time & again she astonished me by saying "ya, they probably can't do anything. I mean seriously? The bottom line is the room is clean and the air conditioner was cold....all the rest of the stuff is incidental. May 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful place to stay! Service from staff was very welcoming. My first thought entering our room was "It smells so good!" The room was very clean, quiet and very comfortable. Bedding was good quality, and bathroom linens were luxurious. The breakfast area could be larger, but the person taking care of it was on top of stocking up the food and wiping tables. We stayed more than one night and saw the service was consistent through shift changes. I'd stay again without hesitation. We were there to attend our son's graduation at Fort Sill. The location of the hotel made for easy access to the base. May 8, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Internet - or lack there of The internet was poor at best. I received the same story 3 different times throughout my stay about how it would be checked and fixed. Never happened. It was needed for me to complete my company work in the evenings. I had to go to Starbucks and use their WiFi to get work done. I cut my stay short (from 5 weeks) and also told the other employees from my company (8 total) about this. They canceled their reservations as well. May 7, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Wireless Internet. Myself and 3 coworkers were there for work for a week and trying to connect with our offices was abysmal. In this day and age, we could not understand how the internet could be so slow and useless (also when trying to use the ethernet in the rooms) Breakfast. The one thing we wanted, Pancakes, was down for the entire week. Why have a Pancake machine if it never works. The supply of fruit was hit or miss. We ate breakfast at 7:30 every morning and sometimes there would be fruit, and other times there was none. Welcoming Bag. It was a welcoming Item. A bag of cheezits and nothing else. No water, fruit, etc. Pretty skimpy, pathetic welcoming gift. Shower. The showers did not drain (room 237). So you would have to shower in a foot of water. Disgusting. May 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Confirmation didn't work I reserved 2 rooms and let one go before the deadline but the room I kept and requested was apparently never mine. I requested 2 beds in the room my brother and I were sharing. I arrived and there were no rooms with 2 beds. My sister had also made reservations for the same type of room and did not get the two beds in either of her rooms. I had to sleep on the sofa bed which was passable but not great. I have had great luck with the 800 number and making reservations at other hotels with holiday inn express, but traveling 6 hours does not give me much leeway to have other arrangements. I was extremely dissappointed in the reservations at this hotels. The rooms were clean. The staff was nice and friendly but our reservations were not right. I have decided not to go to the next graduation because I am sure that my reservation would not be as I requested even with a confirmation. I would stay at the holiday inn express in Emory, Texas and the one in Vidor, Texas because both of them handled our reservations and confirmations even at the last minute with a death in the family or our big family reunion groups but this small group for our family, and ahead of time, was not right. A real dissappointment. The breakfast also ran out of food before the stated time but was not replenished. So when we arrived a little later or after a crowd, we had fewer choices. April 25, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst stay Let me start by saying that I stay in hotels at least 10 days a month. For the most part I stay at HIE because I like the hotels. This stay I must say was so bad that I will never stay at this hotel again. The hotel maintenance was terrible and the staff was reprehensible. They truly could care less about the customers or work they do. Literally they were there for a paycheck. I left the hotel one day early and went next door only to find out that the night person was interviewing at the new hotel that day. April 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beds and Breakfast and Cookies This hotel has great king size beds, theres only one problem. They have queen sized mattress pads and sheets that don't fit properly. The mattress pads elastic corner straps do not fit over the corner of the mattress and then come loose in the night and bunch up. Then the sheets come loose from the corners and you end up sleeping directly on the mattress during the night. This is not a clean feeling to wake up in direct contact with the mattress. Apparently there has been a coprorate decision to no longer serve cookies in the afternoon/evening. This was a very pleasant offering after a long day. I was not offered anything at checkin for being a Platinum member. I am used to getting a bottle of water or something, but nothing on this trip. Your breakfast selections are very tired and worn out. The powdered eggs are not very enjoyable after as many nights as I stay in your properties. April 9, 2013
