Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pool area Wanted to use the pool area. !st of all, the floor was way way to slippery even for adult use. The pool area needs more air ventilation. Too hot & humid!!! 2nd the room air conditioner was on, but not cool enough. Had to have a fan delivered to room. July 18, 2014

The non-smoking room had a definite smoke smell that was being covered by some kind of deodorizer. Smoke smell was still present and quite noticeable especially when first entering the room. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Hotel and Fabulous Staff We stayed at this property for six days over the Fourth of July and we loved it. I was greeted as a platinum elite member and offered 500 bonus points or a welcome bag which did not happen at the Holiday Inn Express in Baltimore. We arrived at the hotel very early but the staff was able to get us into our room quickly once the final room inspection was completed. The room was very clean and large enough for our family of four. The separate sitting are with sink, tv, and sleeper sofa was huge plus. During our stay the pool quit working however we were able to use the pool at the hotel across the street. The same hotel also owns the Hampton Inn across the street. We also used the business center which has everything needed to print emails, boarding passes, etc. the morning breakfast was good and always had fresh fruit. The oranges were juicy and delicious. The bananas were over ripe and bruised badly. We also used the safe deposit box to lock up medication and other valuable items. The great thing about them is you have a key and they have a key in order to unlock them. Much more secure than in room safe. The only issue we had was on the first day of our stay housekeeping did not clean our suite. When we returned to the room I called the front desk and two managers came to the room and cleaned, made the bed, and took care of the garbage. The managers social in the evening and the warm cookies and cold milk was a real treat as well. I recommend my in laws to stay there on their upcoming trip to Layton to visit the Air Force base next month. If we ever return to Layton we will stay at this property agin. It should be a model for all other Holiday Inn Expresses. July 11, 2014

We were there for a wedding and the price was terrific. I will definitely stay here again during future trips to the area. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. July 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value -- but out of the way This is at least a 30-40 minute drive from down town SLC. It depends on whether you care or not. The neighborhood is new and safe. There are lots of restaurants -- and unlike all the other places that offer "hot breakfasts" this one actually delivered with omlettes. July 5, 2014
