Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Uncontrollable water temp mediocre housekeeping Could not regulate the shower temperature continually alternating between painfully hot and freezing cold. Housekeeping was lax with no attention to detail. Shower gel and shampoo often not replaced, sloppy bed, trash liners too small for the can, often no ice bucket bag, no vacuum, etc. Toilet would not flush properly for first three days in second room (30 day plus stay). This was a known condition not fixed for prior guests. Had to fill the trash can with water and pour into the toilet to flush. Hostesses were very nice at evening Manager's reception, but no manager ever introduced themselves if present. Hot dog buns too stale to eat on hot dog nights. Not just once, always. IHG rewards club recognition non-existent. My room was actually downgraded due to availability I suppose (I was not offered an upgrade), when I complained that the corner Jacuzzi tub was not conducive for daily showering and painful for my knees to get in and out of. The new room was much smaller but did have a balcony. WiFi extremely slow to the point of not usable on most occasions. August 25, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel; not-so-great customer service My wife and I stayed one night to go to Lagoon for our birthdays. Normally at the Holiday Inn Express, we are treated with great care and friendliness, but for some reason that wasn't the case here. We were not recognized as IHG Platinum Elite members, our room wasn't ready at check-in time, we felt like a burden the entire time, and the night-staff was very rude and unhelpful. As for the room not being ready, I do want to shout out to the new girl, Jessica, who picked us up in the shuttle. When she went to check on our room and found that it hadn't been cleaned, she cleaned it herself! She and one other girl are the only reasons I didn't rate the Staff and Service as "poor." At night, I asked the lady at the counter if we could reserve a shuttle ride to the train station so we could get to the airport. When I told her what time we needed it, she said "Yeah, that's not gonna happen." She told me that the shuttle was already scheduled at that time for an ongoing contract they had, which is understandable, but she didn't offer any more help than suggesting we were welcome to call a taxi! It's not an enjoyable stay when you don't feel welcome! August 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family Friendly, clean and good breakfast Stayed here with the family while visiting Lagoon Amusement park. Room was very clean along with the rest of the hotel. The kids enjoyed the pool while we stayed there. The breakfast was very good, hot and cold options. They have cookies and milk from 4-8pm, and have hot water, and coffee in the lobby at all times.
