We stayed for 8 nights and there was nothing negative about this stay. From check in to check out, our stay was top-notch. As part of a 3 week trip, this was, by far, the best of all the hotels we were in (and all were IHG hotels).
All staff were friendly and we immediately felt like family. They went above and beyond for making our stay awesome.
The room and facilities were clean and well maintained.
I know that in any organization, the attitude and style of management determines the work ethic of the staff, and that was true here. The manager was very personable, and always took time to make sure we were having a good stay. She is truly an asset to the company.
The lady who cleaned our room was great. She takes her job seriously and is great at what she does.

The room was clean, quite, and the staff were great. The breakfast in the morning was good, with pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The hotel is overall a very nice place to stay.

The hotel was nicely appointed but our room lacked cleanliness. The breakfast room was beautiful and provided a relaxing environment for reading or visiting.
The guest laundry room contained only one washer and one dryer and the desk staff was unable to provide detergent. The clerk was able to provide directions to a laundromat down the road.

This has to be the best hotel in Le Mars Iowa. From the moment we walked in it was a nice atmosphere and the staff was so nice. My only knock is that we were there for a reunion and the Ride Across Iowa bike event was starting so it made the prices go up.

Front Staff was excellent considering the hour we arrived that night. She was extremely helpful and was able to answer questions and give directions and provide maps to where we wanted to go in the morning.
After good night's sleep, we started out early once again and she was still on duty and as energetic and as helpful as ever. Can't say enough about your staff.

We had stayed in this IHG property in the past, but were saddened by the degradation of the facility condition and hospitality levels. The room condition was well below HIE standards, as was the WiFi (abysmal), breakfast (supplies not replenished in a timely way), and front desk customer service delivery (inept or ineffective). The only bright spot was the cleaning staff. They should serve as models and instructors to the front desk and managerial staff! Our window leaked miserably during a summer storm, and bore signs of long term disrepair (see attached photo). Tiles fell off the wall in the bathroom. The hair dryer had but one speed...our friend's fell off completely (again, see photos)! The front desk staff were utterly non-responsive when these problems and suggestions were brought to their attention. The general manager-- when she finally arrived for work on Monday afternoon -- seemed nonplussed by our complaints and failed to honor her hotel's promise of " 100 percent satisfaction or money returned." Unbelievable! The breakfast was below standard and not replenished in a timely manner. The WiFi was the worst of any hotel in which we've stayed!
We strongly recommend you stay at another hotel nearby; if you must stay in LeMars. We are thoroughly disappointed in the LeMars HIE and their management.

Excellent service and friendly staff at this hotel. Very quiet and easy access. Close to restaurant options. Great complimentary internet. Warmer colors on the paint and more lighting in the room would improve the overall feel of the room.

you begin each day with a great selection of both hot and cold food choices, in a comfortable great/breakfast room. The attendant was very helpful, cleaned tables quickly and made GREAT COFFEE. The room in generous in size, and with a desk and plenty of electrical outlets, makes for a comfortable space when relaxing. There was a great restaurant just a short walk from the front door, and Walmart was only a block away for anything I may have forgotten.
Will definately stay again when in the area. Price was very good for the size of the rooms and amenities available.

This hotel was very clean and conveniently located. There is an excellent dinner club next door that is open for lunches as well as dinners with a large menu of delicious entres and desserts. It is also very close to a grocery store and other businesses where one can buy anything you need or forgot to bring. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had an extensive array of choices, cooked to perfection, and the food just kept coming. The sweet woman who cooked as well as served deserved to be tipped she was so good at her job! We will stay at this hotel every time we come to LeMars and will suggest it to others. Bravo!

Check in was not welcoming. I waited a long time for the person to come to the front desk after I rang the bell. Then she came out of an office that was part of the front desk. Later when I tried to call and say the internet was not working, she never answered the phone. She seemed not happy to be there and disinterested in helping anyone. The rooms were okay --just don't expect service if you need anything!

I have stayed 3 times at this facility for business and each time the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I had a cold and housekeeping left an extra box of tissues by my bed and on the desk. Also, I had to leave abruptly due to a family emergency and I left several items behind. They contacted me to let me know and then mailed the items I wanted. I just cannot say enough good things about the folks who are running this hotel.

Weather was delightful. 50 degrees the afternoon of my first day there. Ordered especially for me, they tell me. However, they let it snow Thursday morning when I left. Other than the weather, the stay was absolutely enjoyable and staff continues to make you feel like family. Good job, keep up the excellent work.

Nothing special, just your basic HIE. Really the only choice while staying in Le Mars.
Platinum member, did not get an upgrade, did not get anything at check-in, did mention she had my platinum number so they knew. That night I finally had to ask if I could get a bottle of water... didn't even ask if I got one at check-in.
Not what I expect... or at least used to expect. Seems like hotels are really cutting back on extras for members. Might have to go to another
