Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Typical HIE hotel room Only recommending this hotel simply because there are no other hotels in the area that are any better. All are pretty depressing. Many HIE rooms need to have improved lighting. I think HIE accountants have done the math and figured out the pennies saved by using low wattage bulbs across the USA. The result is dark, depressing rooms across the country. And none of the vendors/contactors HIE uses have yet figured out how to design an HVAC unit that doesn't rattle or buzz all night. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Facility well maintained and clean .Great experience overall. June 19, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Service Do not expect to get satisfaction from any staff, no customer service skills. Was not told the elevator wasn't working - no apologies for the inconvenience, or saying someone was coming to work on it. Housekeeping kept knocking on the door every hour, starting at 8am.... to see if we left yet, when check out isn't until 11am. Annoying. And for Lebanon PA - not really that close to all the wonderful attractions.... Not worth the cost you charge. Friend's had a wedding, and booked rooms for out of town guests. Gift bags were supposed to be given to each guest. At least half the guests never received a bag. When staff were questioned - no one seemed to know anything. All that the bride and her family wanted was an explanation as to what happened to the other bags and maybe an apology for the mix up. Instead - they got an extremely Rude and Unprofessional voicemail from the General Manager M. Washington accusing them of lying and creating problems, saying they are probably looking for money or something for free and that he wont' do anything when they were clearly making it all up - WHAT??!! I have NEVER heard of any more pathetic customer service than this guy... I don't know how he has a job. I hope the owners of this franchise have an opportunity to hear this disgusting voicemail since it is being forwarded to the corporate offices. Sadly, M. Washington, it would have taken just a simple inquiry of all of your staff... a nice phone call and even stating you are not sure what exactly happened, but you apologize for the mix-up - instead of an ignorant voicemail that has you recorded and how disgusting you speak to customers. You left that voicemail without EVER even speaking directly to the person with the complaint/question. I would recommend No One stay there if there is another option... June 7, 2016
