Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Return visit Have been staying here for many years and have usually found it convenient but a bit tired: his time the welcome was warm and the room recently refurbished to a high standard. There was also an inclusive breakfast which got the long journey home off to a good start. Excellent value. April 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 very helpful staff we were very happy overall. particularly with both the persons at the reception. Mr. Prem went out of his way to help my wife with the luggage and brought it to the first floor. The lady too was kind and helped us in our search for some shopping items. We got printed directions and a map to a restaurant in Bradford. Really nice and friendly staff. Thanks. The rooms are a little smaller than expected. The sofa bed is not a good quality one. There are better ones available which are very comfortable really. I think Holiday Inn should do some research on this. China is a good supplier - I have seen them and used them in other hotels. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value for money We stayed 1 night at this hotel and found it to be spotlessly clean, very friendly and great value for money. The shower was powerful and hot which isn't always the case in these places. The room was very large, unfortunately it was a bit cold but then it was March and the conditions have been awful so it may be understandable. Breakfast had everything you needed - hot as well as cold. We would definately stay here again if the need arose. March 30, 2013

The only problem is that the electricity is cut off when you leave the room so it can get very cold until the heater gets going. Breakfast room was plenty big enough and there are lots of eating choices nearby - Toby Carvery next door, two good pubs in 500 yards plus an excellent Chinese. March 27, 2013

Good, clean, comfortable rooms with friendly staff and nice breakfast choice for HI express. Disappointing though - no recognition of Platinum status, I appreciate with it being HI express it cannot be upgrade to the room but not even a free Internet code. March 18, 2013

It was very clean and ALL staff were polite and cheerful! Breakfast was good and it was great to have access to the coffee machine at all times which was free! Would recommend the hot chocolate! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay as usual Have stayed in this particular hotel many times now and the staff are always excellent, helpful and cheerful, nothing too much bother. The rooms are very comfortable. My only slight complaint would be that the room we had with disabled facilities showed signs of needing and upgrade in the bathroom. Rudt marks on the shower floor and around the handrails etc. Much prefer this hotel to the actual Holiday Inn at Garforth where we have also stayed. Rooms and facilitiesmuch more accesible. Nice manner from reception - I just seemed to be being considered. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast as any Holiday Inn Express. Will stay again when next in the area. March 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cold! Very clean rooms, but very cold. The week we stayed was affected by snow and ice. When you remove the magnetic card from the slot on the wall, the heaters switch off as well. This made the bedroom, and particularly the bathroom (which had no heating at all) very cold - it was actually uncomfortable. Also, the lock on my room did not work properly - either leaving the room or entering it. My room was left unlocked all day after the cleaners had been in. Apart from that, the location was great - very clean and the day and night staff were really helpful and friendly. There were plenty of places to eat around the hotel - although I wouldn't really recommend the carvery. January 23, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Room I have stayed in the HIE Leeds on several occasions, I have noticed there id a draft coming from the windows, and the breakfast is limited on choice and cold. Even though it has these pitfalls the rooms are very good value and the staff are very good to assist if there is any problems January 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New Year Eve stay Karen who checked us in was very professional, she explained how the room key worked and told us breakfast times and said she was available all night if we needed anything. Breakfast was good, sausage, scrambled eggs beans, muffins, bread, fruit juices and all manor of hot drinks. Would recommend this hotel January 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by To Smoke or Not Checked in around 9pm. Given a family room on the ground floor. However passing through the doors I could smell cigerette smoke. We entered the room with our 22mths old twins and placed them in their provided cots. These cots were execellent very clean, lovely blankets. However after about 40 minutes our eyes started smarting. It was clear someone next door was smoking heavily. They were also having a loud intercourse episode. I visited reception and informed the staff member. He was execellent. He arranged for us to be moved to a first floor room away from the smoke and noise. He did challenge the residents next door. The bed in the first floor room was much better as well. I did find the first bed very soft and could feel the springs. The staff member helped with setting up the cots and assisted in moving our belongings to our new room. Breakfast was great, good service again, staff helped with the highchairs. Management need to place no smoking signs on all room doors and make it clearer to residents on check in. I used my priority points for this visit. January 4, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Reward Night? Very poor nights sleep I booked into this hotel with reward night points & my first time at this particular hotel. As an Elite Priority Club Member I stay in a lot of HI hotels, so it’s important to mention when things are not up to scratch. The reception staff were very good, but its downhill after that... Bed was very uncomfortable & lacked support, so we got a very poor night’s sleep. The sofa bed was terrible, so not much luck there either. The sofa bed was not made up even though the room was booked for 2 adults & 1 child, so I had to make the bed myself! The room i was booked into was very close to the reception & we were disturbed repeatedly by the sound of the door closing/other guests walking in/out. There was chaos at breakfast time with only 2 toasters (which took a lifetime to toast); there was a muddled queue of guests waiting to try and get something to eat. Seating space near the breakfast bar was crammed with too many tables & chairs & difficult to past to get to the breakfast bar. Sorry but this is not really the level of quality I would expect from a HI hotel and it needs much for a reward night....very disappointing HI. December 14, 2012

We we offered coffee and when I asked if I could have a slice of toast too, the catering manager said I could help myself to a full breakfast if i wished because they were about to clear it away and it would only go to waste ! I didn't need a second invitation and thoroughly enjoyed my sausages, scrambled egg, beans, toast, coffee and the read of a newspaper until we could access the room. Excellent norther hospitality ! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff very bad beds We arrived late at night to a lovelly welcome. The Staff were very helpfull and are an asset, the room was reasonably clean and the breakfast is great. However what lets the stay down greatly is the poor bedding. The sofa bed was so uncomfertable the children preferd to sleep on the floor. The mattress was so thin you could feel the bars going across. The main bed was like sleeping on a bouncy castle. I understand that it is a budget hotel however surely decent mattresses is not to much to ask. I cant say we will book into a Holliday Inn again November 30, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and comfortable room I booked my stay quite close to my arrival date so sadly paid a premium (reflected in my score), but I was really impressed with the room - the proper fold out sofa bed was a big highlight as it's essentially an actual bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuine throughout my two night stay. Parking and breakfast was included, which was a lovely bonus. All in all, I would recommend staying here for sure. Thanks to the folks at the Holiday Inn Express Leeds East for making it a nice trip. October 12, 2012
