My son and I checked into this hotel on our trip for 1 night. I asked for a QUIET room with 2 Queens. The hotel lobby was
clean as was the room when we checked in. No problem with the cleaning staff, they are doing an excellent job at this hotel.
But the problem occured that night when we went to bed. My mattress was the worst Ive ever slept on, including lower end hotels. It sank in the middle like a hammock ! Also, they put a group right above us, even though the hotel was less than half full. The sound insulation was zero so every footstep was heard as they walked and walked and walked above our room.
Finally after 1:00a.m. I went down to the front desk. and waited at an empty front desk for 20 min. then I paid for another room because my son was sound asleep despite bad mattresses and noise (Only teenagers can sleep through anything!) The receptionist told me she would have the manager contact me, but in the morning I waited for 20 min. at a empty front desk again! And NO contact by phone or e-mail from manager. One would be better off at the $49.
hotels and their mattresses than this HI express. The need to do some updating to meet the expectations of the usual HI Express that I have known.

Loved that desk staff remembered me from last few stays
Wonderful to have coffee and tea available all day.
Room was too far away for old people to walk.
Elevator was broken one day, had to walk down three flights of steps. Elevator repaired within a few hours.
Comforting to see staff who have worked at this hotel for many years. Yes, will stay again. Located near shopping areas, restaurants, pharmacies. Location is very convenient for my use.
