I always travel with my own breakfast foods as NO other hotel I have visited offers the GF muffins. Other hotels need to follow this hotel's example and offer GF options for celiacs. We get sick for days when we eat wheat. Most hotels offer powdered eggs, wheat waffles, wheat donuuts and rolls, etc. We can not eat any of these. I was so happy to find a quality hotel that meets my expectations AND realizes that we need GF options. I recommend this hotel for all people especially those with celiac disease.

While being dated isn't too much of a negative, the internet service here was the worse I've experienced in all the HI Expresses I've stayed at. Kept disconnecting and stopping service constantly. If you need internet, don't stay here.

Once again I remain impressed with the attentiveness and the professionalism of the entire hotel staff at Holiday Inn Express Lenoir. As usual, my room was very comfortable and the meeting areas were ready for us.
One small hitch this time...the room phone in my room wasn't hooked up properly. I would not have noticed this had I not actually needed to use it, and might have missed my wake-up call. I was able to fix the problem myself.

We made reservations right before stopping using points for this stay. We had a couple of minor problems with the room. There was no TV remote, which the front desk rectified right away. The cold water knob on the Jacuzzi came off in my hand! I was able to push it back on enough to use it. I was disappointed that it was not in proper working order, but it was still usable.
The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I love the idea of IHG club and points, but there are times I wonder if the "point nights" are rooms that are not as nice and maintained as well. Also, have had some frustrations trying to book point nights, seems many times they have exceeded their point night rooms and are glad to book me in a paying room. I feel like points should be good whenever there is a room available. And again makes me wonder if the lesser maintained rooms are used for point night stays.

The mattress in the room was like sleeping on a board, but I told the front desk at checkout and the room price was adjusted and extra points were given to me. I hope the next time I stay there the mattress will be better. Hotels should replace mattresses every 5 yrs. at the most, since so many people sleep on them.
