Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by whats that smell i am a plat. member of the ihg rewards program, I stay live in a holiday inn express for work every week, I came to my home town to visit and stayed here, I had reserved a king room, when I arrive and check in to find that I have been down sized to a queen room, getting off the elevator and walking to my room the hall way smelled really bad, it had a strong odor of urine down the whole hall way. the smell was almost unbearable, I was very unpleased with my stay and wish I could have saved my points. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by service that was outstanding by staff!!!!!!!!!!!! We were on a bus trip. Bus #2 had broken down. We arrived at the Holiday Inn and advised them of our problems. Our bus had to let us off and go back to get the others near Savannah. Your staff was wonderful setting up a room so we could have pizza's for dinner, made us homemade cookies and provided us with anything we needed. The breakfast in the morning was just as wonderful. Your staff went up and beyond what was expected to do, to help us continue our trip the next day...... Our bus was not fixable and another bus was driven down from Wisconsin to meet the temporary bus. Thank you again for a great nights stay and visit and wonderful service. November 2, 2014

I live in Houston Texas but I have lots of relatives in that area and I am always back there for some reason or other. It could be for Holidays or personal business, I own property there so this hotel is very convent and we love the place. The staff is wonderful and it is very comfortable. November 2, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What you expect from holiday inn, the breakfast made it! Holiday Inn you expect clean and comfortable and that is what you get. No surprises or disappointments. The breakfast on the other hand was above what I have experienced in a breakfast bar. There not much seating, that was a little disappointing, but the hostess made up for it. Went up and beyond what you would expect. She had a smile on her face the minute we sat down and she was still joking and smiling when we left. The noise level in the hall ways was very loud, but it is expected with a hotel. This one of the nicest stay we have had and will stay again. September 23, 2014

The Staff is very "Southern Hospitality" Kind and very helpful. Kim the Manager has done a exceptional job of creating a fine hotel staff. We recommend this Holiday Inn Express. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Poor experience at an older hotel I recently stayed at this hotel. The joy began at the front desk where there is a sign telling the staff not to adjust the air conditioning. There was a fan blowing on the floor behind the staff, suggesting that the AC setting was inadequate. The front line staff did well to try to address my needs, although the general manager appeared to have difficulty completing her job to a satisfactory level. I reserved a room at this hotel, which generally means that the room of my choosing had been reserved. However, when I arrived, I was told (not asked) that I would not be staying in a suite as I had requested, but instead would be staying in a comparable room (two queen beds) without the use of a suite. However, I paid the highest rate for the room which allowed me to cancel up until the night of the stay. When I was informed of the difference, my rate was adjusted to the comparable rate (allowing me to make changes to my reservation) rather than the lowest possible rate. To me, this seemed to make sense, since the hotel made the error in not reserving the room I requested. Once I got to my room, I could smell the familiar smell of cigarette smoke covered by an air freshener. The room was definitely not up to my standards for a Holiday Inn and also was not up to my standards for many lower rated hotels. July 19, 2014
