My wife and I travel a bit and we are extremely happy to stay at this particular Holiday Inn. The staff is phenominal in every way. The owner, whether it be an individual or the corporation, should be extremely generous with a Holiday bonus or raises to all employees.
However, the owner needs to take some interest in the property itself. The facility is rapidly deteriorating. There needs to be an influx of funds to repair/touch-up/replace different areas of the complex. In particular, carpeting needs replaced/repaired/revitalized in high-traffic areas of this particular complex. Bathrooms need touched-up with caulking, putty,paint.
While most owner's expect the GM's to address these areas, funds need to be allocated for the GM to do his/her job. I personnally feel the owner is blessed to have, not only the GM that is at this facility, but the entire staff (front desk,maintenance,housekeeping,breakfast). We will continue to make this particular Holiday Inn a place to rest and relax unless the owner does not continue to meet and exceed the standards set by Holiday Inn Headquarters.

The experience began before we arrived as we called to change type of room. No problem! Greeted immediately upon entering and check-in was a pleasant experience top off when we were given a choice of a "snack" and a bottle of water. Room was on 2nd floor and easy access just up the stairs from the lobby. Consequently, we used the stairs and not the elevator and got some "exercise". The breakfast choices were good and consistent with previous stays at other Holiday Inn Expresses. The breakfast at least for us is a "real drawing card". This was our 1st time to stay at this property and if we travel to Lexington,SC again will be our choice!

I enjoyed my stay, one recommendation is to do so something about the doors to the rooms, cleaning service or people leaving early had the doors slamming and they are loud!

We stayed there for 1 night on our way to ATL. They gave us a nice and quiet room on the upper floor. Great people at reception. Check in was carried out speedily and unexcited. Plenty of restaurants at the nearby shopping center.

I was in town for a concert so I wasn't in my room much. However, I arrived around 1pm and asked if it could check in early. The front desk told me that it would be about 30 minutes and she could get us in a room. I told her that was fine. She then heard me mentioning to my friend that we should be ok with that and we should still make it to where we were going on time. She then switched rooms and was able to accomodate us right away. She went out of her way to get us into a room so we would make our event on time. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was very good as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked online, no acknowledgement of platinum priority club when arrived. Got put in a smoking room when my preferences say non- smoking.Room 202 roach ran across the floor and the ceiling had large cobwebs .

We checked in after a long day of baseball. Check in went smoothly with Brenton who was very helpful in recommending places to get some dinner. The shower felt good indeed. The room was large and roomy - and clean. Watched some football on TV after dinner. The bed was perfect - very comfortable after a long day. The breakfast was super - very good for sure. Thanks all!

THey staff was so friendly! they were very helpful and the rooms were clean! They even brought up the cart to help me load my car with all of my stuff.
They gave me directions to where I needed to go as well. They provided bottled water upon arrival and also peanuts for a healthy snack! The gym is 24 hours which is a great perk!!!!

My room could have used a good cleaning. Black ring around the toilet greeted me upon my late night arrival. Dirty carpet, spiders and crickets in my room. Loud card games and beer drinking in the hotel lobby also added to the terrible atmosphere. Does the Holiday Inn Corporate office ever stop by to ensure their hotels meet their standards? I will not be returning to this Hotel

Originally, I reserved one king non smoking. At the time of the arrival they put me in a smoking room with two single beds. After complained, they moved me to a non smoking with two beds, again. Tolerable.
Then I noticed that there were hairs from other persons everywhere, even in the ice container and the microwave. All the towels were dirty (yellow stains) except for one.
The carpet was also dirty, I even found a straw there. The chair next to the desk was dirty too. This is my first review ever. I'm very disappointed in IHG group. Don't bother to respond, I'll never return.

This is a hotel going through a remodel and it shows. That said the staff is outstanding. Our first room had an air conditioning problem and we were moved with no trouble at all. At about 0330 another room had an alarm go off, my wife called the desk and they addressed the issue in a prompt manner.
The pool area had issues that will likely be dealt with during the remodel. These were issues that were minor and not the fault of the hotel. All in all it was a good stay.
The hotel would benefit from more visable signage.

We recently stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for 3 days while moving our daughter to Lexington for a teacher position. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good, although the dining area is a bit small and the property is a bit dated. Overall our stay was satisfying and very economical. My wife and I will stay there in the future when we visit our daughter......

the front desk clerk was there when i checked in and had the biggest smile on her face and it was about 9pm... when i came downstairs for their breakfast she was there again with the biggest smile AGAIN!! after only 3 hrs of sleep.. the breakfast was wonderful. the hostess for breakfast was the nicest and generous person. again, a smiler..the housekeeping staff was very friendly. she knocked on the door asked if i needed anything because i had told the front desk i may stay another night that i wasnt sure. she remembered and told housekeeping. the beds were very comfy. i had 4 pillows and they were marked as to whether they were firm soft, etc... i felt very safe walking to the parking lot.. there are plenty of stores right across the street. it was very comfy and the shower was good. never ran out of hot water.. the room was very clean.. the ac was outstanding... definately will be back there when i go and visit..

This is a nice and convenient place to stay. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The person responsible for breakfast was super--very attentive and warm to everyone. The room was nice and the overall experience was a good one.

This is a good place to stay if you are in the area for business or leisure as it is very central. Plenty of places to go eat and there are some good shops all walking distance if you happen to arrive without a car!. The staff at this holiday inn are friendly and helpful from the manager down to the cleaning staff. The rooms are quiet and there is no noise from the nearby Hwy 378. The pool was a welcome surprise.

I stayed in this hotel fron June 21-23, 2013. The front desk person who checked me in was pleasant at first. When I questioned her about the cot I reserved she told me that the cots were locked in a room and the key to the door broke. The manager of the property had the only remaining key and she would try and find him. We got checked in, 30 minutes later still no cot. The reason-the manager JUST left with the key.
The room smelled of cigarettes. The wall paper in the bathroom was coming off the wall. The breakfast choices were sad. The muffins were cold, the coffee was not tasty. Some hotel guests were overheard saying they were going to Starbucks to get some real coffee. The yougurt, in only one flavor, was the only positive. The orange juice looked like it could have possibly been orange except for the water added to stretch it which then added a new dimension.
If you decide to stay here be prepared for a fight for a good night's rest and a fight to eat breakfast from unsavory and just plain sad food items. This hotel is not worth the money or your time. So sad because this brand has been around for years! Stay somewhere else.

I AM TRULY AMAZED AT THE LEVEL AND QUALITY OF SERVICE AT THIS HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS. UPON OUR ARRIVAL WE WERE SOMEWHAT DISMAYED BECAUSE THE PRICE FOR OUR ROOM DID NOT COINCIDE WITH THE PRICE THAT WAS QUOTED.. CHERIE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB RESOLVING THE ISSUE BY CALLING IN THE MGR AND THE ORIGINAL QUOTE WAS HONORED. ANOTHER GUEST CHECKING IN THREE HOURS LATER DID NOT HAVE THE SAME LUCK. THE ORGANIZATION THAT MADE THE RESERVATION INCORRECTLY. RATHER THAN JUST TURN THE CUSTOMER AWAY, CHERIE WORKED WITH HER AND RESOLVED THE MATTER. WHAT GREAT RESPECT SHE SHOWED FOR THIS PARTICULAR CUSTOMER. WORKED TO SATISFY HER, THOUGH THERE WAS A FULL HOUSE. THAT KIND OF RESPONSE TO A GUEST'S NEEDS IS RARE TODAY. I PRAY THAT THESE FOLKS ARE PRAISED FOR ALL THE THINGS THEY DO CORRECTLY. TOUGH TO SATISFY THE GENERAL PUBLIC. POOL WAS GREAT, BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, ROOM WAS GREAT. SORRY WE WERE UNABLE TO STAY LONGER. BDP
